  • Publication number: 20240090806
Abstract: A wearable computing device includes a housing having a wrist-side face configured to sit against a wrist of a user of the wearable computing device when being worn by the user, an electronic display arranged within the housing, a plurality of biometric sensor electrodes positioned on the wrist-side face so as to maintain skin contact with the user when being worn on the wrist by the user, and at least one driver communicatively coupled to the plurality of biometric sensor electrodes. Each of the plurality of biometric sensor electrodes continuously measures, at least, one or more parameters indicative of electrical impedance of the user at a location of the skin contact.

  • Publication number: 20240090721
Abstract: A robotic cleaner includes a housing, a suction conduit with an opening, and a leading roller mounted in front of a brush roll. An inter-roller air passageway may be defined between the leading roller and the brush roll wherein the lower portion of the leading roller is exposed to a flow path to the suction conduit and an upper portion of the leading roller is outside of the flow path. Optionally, a combing unit includes a plurality of combing protrusions extending into the leading roller and having leading edges not aligned with a center of the leading roller. Optionally, a sealing strip is located along a rear side of the opening and along a portion of left and right sides of the opening. The underside may define side edge vacuum passageways extending from the sides of the housing partially between the leading roller and the sealing strip towards the opening.

  • Patent number: 10509747
Abstract: A memory controller manages memory access operations through a flash memory interface of a memory array of a solid-state storage device connected to a host. The memory controller executes a first memory access operation in the memory array. The first memory access operation has a first priority. The memory controller detects a suspending memory access operation available for execution in the memory array and having a higher priority than the first priority. The detection operation distinguishes between suspending memory access operations and non-suspending memory access operations. The memory controller suspends execution of the first memory access operation in the memory array and executes one or more memory access operations having higher priorities than the first priority and being available for execution in the memory array. The memory controller resumes the execution of the first memory access operation in the memory array.

  • Patent number: 10184136
Abstract: There is disclosed a retroviral vector comprising a primer binding site, a long terminal repeat and an RNA packaging sequence, wherein the RNA packaging sequence is located 3? of the long terminal repeat and no long terminal repeat is located 3? of the RNA packaging sequence such that reverse transcription initiated at the primer binding site does not lead to reverse transcription of the RNA packaging sequence into vector DNA in a target cell. Also described is a host cell, a virion, a pharmaceutical composition, a method and uses including or involving the vector described above. Further, a cell or transgenic animal produced by using the vector is also described.

  • Patent number: 7902977
Abstract: A security apparatus comprising a plurality of sensing elements, each adapted to detect intrusion into protected premises, each sensing element outputs a sensing signal representing a detected event, a signal processing section for examining each sensing signal and outputting a signature for each sensing signal, a computing section for translating each signature into a normalized threat value, ranging from “0” to “1”, modifying each normalized threat values by multiplying a weighting coefficient corresponding to a type of sensing element, storing for a temporary period of time, each modified normalized threat value, and an alarm generating section for adding each of the stored modified normalized threat values, outputting an aggregate threat value and generating an alarm enable signal based upon an analysis of the aggregate threat value.

  • Publication number: 20050282168
Abstract: Human cell surface molecules CD70 and CD203c are expressed at higher levels in kidney carcinomas, particularly renal cell carcinomas and clear cell renal cell carcinomas, yet are expressed at low levels in normal kidney and other diseased kidney tissue, and at low levels in other tissues. CD70 and CD203c show specificity towards kidney carcinomas, particularly renal cell carcinomas and clear cell renal cell carcinomas and thus can be used as diagnostic markers and therapeutic targets for these diseases. In addition, antibodies or small molecules against these molecules could be used in treatments towards these diseases.

  • Publication number: 20050121988
Abstract: An alternator has a molded plastic, electrically conductive D.E. frame in which a sealed bearing is molded in place with the formation of the D.E. frame 14. When the D.E. frame is removed from its plastics injection mold and while the frame is still hot, the stator is installed in the D.E. frame and the frame allowed to cool and constrict about the stator. The companion S.R.E. frame is preferably fabricated of non-conductive plastics material.
