  • Patent number: 6460946
Abstract: A readily reconfigurable shelf arrangement includes a support panel supported on a furniture component wherein the support panel has a plurality of rows and columns of shelf connectors to which individual shelves are connected. The pattern of shelf connectors defines different lateral and elevational positions in which the shelves may be connected. The individual shelves include removable support pegs which are secured to and project outwardly of the shelf connectors and a fabric shelf section which is suspended from the support pegs.

  • Patent number: 6202361
Abstract: A table which defines an upwardly facing work surface and an acoustic dome for use above the table, both of which are suspended from overhead and movable in a vertical direction downwardly to create a work area, and upwardly for storage whereby the dome nests within the table. The table includes a plurality of alternating writable and tackable work surfaces and is generally arcuate in shape. The dome includes an upwardly facing side and a downwardly facing side including a smooth material capable of reflecting sound towards the work area. The upwardly facing side of the dome includes a plurality of sound-absorbing ring members to minimize the entry of outside sound into the work area.

  • Patent number: 6068144
Abstract: A freestanding, mobile information posting unit for use in the workplace or other environment including a base and a rod extending upwardly therefrom. A plurality of posting members are arranged in a generally vertical manner on the rod for posting information thereon. The posting members are individually rotatable about the rod. The shape of the posting members, and their positional arrangement on the rod, allows the peripheral surfaces of adjacent posting members to be disposed in nonaligned relation to accommodate attachment of notes and the like thereon.

  • Patent number: 6058851
Abstract: A table top provided with a paper-organizing and storing structure fixedly positioned along an edge of the table top. The structure includes a wall which extends along but is spaced slightly outwardly from the edge of the table top. The wall in cooperation with the adjacent edge defines a downwardly opening pocket recess which in a preferred embodiment is sloped to project partially under the table top. This pocket enables papers to be inserted downwardly into the pocket through an upper open mouth thereof. The depth of the pocket causes upper portion of the paper to bear against the free edge of the wall and project upwardly a small extent above the upper top surface, whereby the user can readily access and visually inspect at least the upper portion of the paper while it is stored in the pocket.

  • Patent number: 5865125
Abstract: A work station includes a lower work surface and a pair of tiered article support sections located above the work surface. The work surface defines a generally planar area along an inner edge thereof, and an inclined storage area which angles upwardly and outwardly away from the planar area for the storage of documents thereon. The tiered article support sections include a lower tier which extends vertically and includes an erasable marker board surface. Each lower tier supports an upper tier which defines an upper shelf or ledge for the storage of documents. A worker using this computer work station is able to readily store, view and access documents located either on the work surface or the article support sections to facilitate organization of work-in-progress.
