Abstract: Tire tread monitoring systems and tire tread monitoring sensors are disclosed. In one embodiment, a tire tread monitoring sensor is disclosed that includes a sensor housing having communication circuitry disposed therein; a sensor flange that is disposed adjacent the sensor housing, the sensor flange being manufactured from a flexible or semi-flexible material; and a sensor post having one or more sensor leads, the one or more sensor leads being in signal communication with the communication circuitry. When the one or more sensor leads are worn down to a predetermined dimension, a continuity measurement indicates a change in state that is interpreted by the communication circuitry as a signal representative of the tire wear status of a tire as monitored by the tire tread monitoring sensor. Methods of installing, manufacturing and using the aforementioned systems and sensors are also disclosed.

Abstract: An apparatus, comprising a biometric sensor, the biometric sensor configured to receive an input from a user, the input corresponding to a predetermined factor. A feedback device is configured to provide feedback to the user when a value associated with the input approaches a predetermined threshold within a margin. The biometric sensor may comprise a fingerprint recognition sensor, iris recognition sensor, or any other biometric sensor. The feedback device may be configured to provide vibrational, audible, or visual feedback to the user once an input value corresponding to a predetermined factor approaches a threshold within a margin.

Abstract: A system and method for managing internal controls within a heterogeneous enterprise environment is provided. The invention may include an open and extensible standards-based architecture that may be used to create, monitor, test, or otherwise manage internal controls by capturing, organizing, translating, and exchanging controls data, tests, and test results across organizational boundaries and between an enterprise and its external auditors. By providing an automated software solution for managing internal controls, business, finance, information technology, audit, or other professionals may automate on-demand testing, or perform closed-loop remediation and continuous exception-based monitoring of controls within and across enterprise systems.
