  • Patent number: 8748500
Abstract: A process for producing transportation fuels, such as gasoline and diesel fuel, from syngas with a low H2/CO ratio. The syngas is first converted to dimethyl ether which is then converted to gasoline by way of a dimethyl ether to gasoline process and to diesel fuel by way of a Fischer-Tropsch process.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 26, 2012
Date of Patent: June 10, 2014
    Assignee: SynGas Technology, LLC
Inventors: Duane A. Goetsch, Kym B Arcuri, Steven J. Schmit, Jacqueline R Hitchingham, Lloyd R. White
  • Patent number: 8435326
Abstract: A multi-stage membrane process for the removal of carbon dioxide from syngas streams containing at least about 5 volume percent carbon dioxide. The syngas is preferably obtained by the gasification of a biomass feedstock.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 17, 2011
Date of Patent: May 7, 2013
    Assignee: G.D.O.
Inventors: Steven J. Schmit, Jacqueline Hichingham, Duane A. Goetsch, Lloyd R. White, Ulrich Bonne
  • Patent number: 8371903
Abstract: Disclosed is a portable demilitarization apparatus and system for segmenting an ordnance and is comprised of a fixed housing having a gantry/robotic positioning system, a high pressure water jet cutting head, and a rotational drive subassembly and a slideable main assembly comprised of a cradle subassembly, a centering ring subassembly, a collection subassembly and a rotational drive mechanism.
    Type: Grant

  • Publication number: 20120227877
Abstract: A method for demilitarizing projectiles, typically military projectiles, containing a class of energetic materials known as Composition A which are wax desensitized materials. The projectiles are opened to expose the wax desensitized energetic material, which is then removed from the projectile by fluid jet technology. The wax component is separated from the energetic particles only to a degree that will leave an effective amount of desensitizing coating of wax remaining on the particles.
