  • Patent number: 6175503
Abstract: An interconnect for engaging a rectifier module with a rectifier cabinet has a first portion which includes AC output contacts, DC input contacts, a cabinet data signal connector and sidewalls which define an enclosed space of the rectifier cabinet. A second portion of the interconnect includes DC output contacts, AC input contacts, a module pin data signal connector and a housing which encloses a rectifier unit. A guide member is mounted to one of the first and second portions of the interconnect. A guide member hole is included with the other of the first and second portions of the interconnect for engaging with the guide member to align the first portion of the interconnect with the second portion of the interconnect. A pair of guide pins are mounted to one of the data signal connectors for engaging within sockets of the other of the data signals connectors for aligning the data signal connectors.

  • Patent number: 6075698
Abstract: A rack mounted rectifier has a cooling fan module which is removable and replaceable in the field for servicing the rectifier when a cooling fan failure occurs. The rack mounted rectifier module includes a rectifier unit, a housing, DC output contacts, AC input contacts, and a data signal connector. The cooling fan module has a mounting bracket, a cooling fan unit which is secured to the mounting bracket, and a cooling fan connector which is mounted to the mounted bracket and electrically connected to the cooling fan motor. The housing of the rectifier unit has a socket for receiving the cooling fan module and a mating cooling fan connector for engaging the cooling fan connector to electrically connect the cooling fan unit to electric power when the cooling fan module is fully inserted within the socket.

  • Patent number: 5754739
Abstract: A radio frequency manager (12) for choosing a selective call transmitter (20 or 25) among a plurality of selective call transmitters comprises a memory (13) for storing historical data on messages previously sent, the historical data comprising for each transmitter at least a latency measurement and a message queue profile and another memory (15) for storing pending messages, each of the pending messages having current information comprising at least an associated priority for the pending messages. The radio frequency manager further comprises a sorter (21) for classifying the historical data and the current information using fuzzy logic, wherein the sorter comprises a fuzzifier (14) for generating membership values, a rule base (16) for applying a set of predetermined rules to the current input conditions to perform a mapping with the historical conditions, and a defuzzifier (18) for generating a non-fuzzy prediction recommendation from the mapping for recommending the optimum transmitter.

  • Patent number: 5645429
Abstract: A method is provided for clinical retention of restorative material by a natural tooth. A first portion of photopolymerizable liquid primer/adhesive dental composition is applied to a tooth surface. After leaving the first portion of the liquid composition on the tooth surface undisturbed for at least 15 seconds on the tooth surface air is conveyed against the first portion of the liquid. The light is impinged on the first portion of the liquid composition whereby at least a portion of the first portion of the liquid composition polymerizes to form a first coating on the tooth. A second portion of the liquid composition is applied to the first coating, and air is substantially immediately conveyed to the second portion of the liquid composition.
