  • Patent number: 9884985
Abstract: A spacer fluid made of a viscosity thinner, a weighting agent, an antifoaming agent, and a non-ionic surfactant in a base aqueous fluid is disclosed. In some instances, the viscosity thinner is a sulfomethylated tannin, the weighting agent is barium sulfate, the antifoaming agent is a silicone, and the non-ionic surfactant is an ethoxylated alcohol. A method of treating a well bore annulus in preparation of introducing water-based cement slurry into a well bore using the spacer fluid is disclosed. A method of using the spacer fluid to position a first fluid into a well bore annulus of a well bore containing a second fluid is disclosed. A method for fluidly isolating at least a portion of a well bore annulus in a well bore containing an oil-based drilling fluid using water-based cement slurry and the spacer fluid is disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20170126094
Abstract: The present invention relates to a drive system, in particular for applications in conveying technology and the food industry, having a fixed shaft (1), having an electric motor (2) which has a rotor (3), which can be rotated about the shaft (1), and a stator (6), having a transmission (16) for reducing a rotational speed of the rotor (3), and having a drum (13) which can be driven by the transmission (16) at a reduced rotational speed and can be rotated concentrically about the shaft, wherein the rotor (3) and the transmission (16) are arranged within the drum (13), and wherein the stator (6) of the electric motor (2) is arranged outside the drum (13). The stator (6) preferably wholly or partially encloses the drum (13), to be precise essentially in the region (B), in which, within the drum (13), the rotor (3) is arranged.

  • Patent number: 7240545
Abstract: A test apparatus for the measurement of expansion and/or shrinkage of a cement test sample during curing under pressure and temperature conditions that simulate downhole oil well conditions isolates the test sample from a first fixed volume of incompressible pressurized liquid using a flexible barrier that forms a wall of a first chamber in a pressure vessel assembly. The first chamber is sealed by a movable piston. A second pressurizing medium is contained in a second chamber on the opposite side of the piston, and is in fluid communication with a pump, whereby the piston is pressure-balanced between the first and the second medium. The piston moves in a bore of the vessel assembly in response to changes in the volume of the test sample during curing and the amount of linear movement of the piston is detected by a sensor system that measures, correlates and transmits any change in the position of the piston as a change in the sample volume for display and recording.

  • Publication number: 20050263353
Abstract: A merchandising system for displaying food items from selected food groups with the packaging of the food items having a distinct color associated with each food group. Other indicia on the display system are color coordinated with the colors of the packaging such that the different food items and the indicia create a plurality of visually separate and distinct color groups for easier selection of the desired food items. The colored indicia on the display system may include colored edges on shelves or colored badges or medallions, which are located adjacently to, and associated with, the colored packaging for the food items of the respective food groups. The display types may include free-standing, counter, stepped overlay and refrigerated displays.
