  • Publication number: 20240416378
Abstract: A portable spray booth for coating an item such as a wheel with a sprayable material. An actuator is configured in use to support a spray gun which is in fluid communication with a first supply of the sprayable material. At least one laser is operative to illuminate a wheel with laser radiation. A detector detects reflected laser radiation from the wheel to derive a signal indicative of the profile of the wheel. A processor processes the signal to obtain a control signal which is output to the actuator and the spray gun to cause the first supply of sprayable material to be dispensed from the spray gun onto the wheel in a user defined manner and a detector senses an amount of sprayable material in each reusable paint pot or canister and generates a warning signal to reorder a paint pot or canister before all the sprayable is used.

  • Patent number: 10652857
Abstract: A method of communicating data between a base station and a plurality of terminal devices in a wireless telecommunications system. The method comprises transmitting data from the base station to the plurality of terminal devices in a multicast transmission and transmitting response signals from the terminal devices to the base station to indicate whether the respective terminal devices have successfully received the multicast transmission. The use of a multicast transmission provides an efficient mechanism for communicating the same data to a plurality of terminal device, for example as might be desired in a machine-type communication network.

  • Publication number: 20140146738
Abstract: A method of communicating data between a base station and a plurality of terminal devices in a wireless telecommunications system is described. The method comprises transmitting data from the base station to the plurality of terminal devices in a multicast transmission and transmitting response signals from the terminal devices to the base station to indicate whether or not the respective terminal devices have successfully received the multicast transmission. The use of a multicast transmission provides an efficient mechanism for communicating the same data to a plurality of terminal device, for example as might be desired in a machine-type communication network. In combination with this, the use of individual response signals, such as ACK/NACK signalling, from the terminal devices allows the base station, or other entity, to track which terminal devices have indicated successful receipt of the multicast transmission, and to instigate an appropriate re-transmission protocol accordingly.
