Abstract: A hybrid material may be configured as a hybrid fabric. An illustrative embodiment of a hybrid fabric may be constructed of two yarns engaged with one another and exhibit a moisture absorbency of ten seconds or less and a differential in moisture spreading speed one a first face of the hybrid fabric compared to that of a second face. Another illustrative embodiment of a hybrid fabric may be constructed of two yarns engaged with one another and exhibit a moisture absorbency of ten seconds or less and a planar wicking rate of at least 2.5 mm/min. Another illustrative embodiment of a hybrid fabric may be constructed of two welded yarns produced via welding processes differently configured such that the resulting welded yarns have one or more differing properties. Illustrative embodiments of such hybrid fabrics include but are not limited to pique and jersey and pique fabrics constructed of cotton.

The scheduler generates one or more optimisation problem instances and utilizes the optimisation nrohlcm instances lo generate the schedule of aclivitics for (he automated laboratory system. The scheduler causes the implementation of the generating schedule such that the activities can be performed according to desired protocol steps.

Abstract: A blower unit for use as part of an integrated blower/humidification system is described. The blower unit has an outer casing, which encloses and forms part of the blower unit, the casing including an air inlet vent. The blower unit further includes a humidifier compartment for receiving a humidifier unit with a separate gases inlet and outlet, the compartment having a heater base for heating the contents of the humidifier unit. The compartment also has a blower inlet port which aligns with the humidifier unit inlet in use, the blower providing a gases path through the casing between the inlet vent and the inlet port. The blower unit also includes a fan for providing a pressurised gases stream along the gases path, and a power supply unit for powering the fan. The gases path is routed over the power supply unit in order to provide a cooling air flow.

Abstract: There is provided a method and apparatus for motion estimation in a sequence of video images. The method comprises a) subdividing each field or frame of a sequence of video images into a plurality of blocks, b) assigning to each block in each video field or frame a respective set of candidate motion vectors, c) determining for each block in a current video field or frame, which of its respective candidate motion vectors produces a best match to a block in a previous video field or frame, d) forming a motion vector field for the current video field or frame using the thus determined best match vectors for each block, and e) forming a further motion vector field by storing a candidate motion vector derived from the best match vector at a block location offset by a distance derived from the candidate motion vector. Finally, steps a) to e) are repeated for a video field or frame following the current video field or frame.

Abstract: A system for timing a crankshaft and a camshaft in an internal combustion engine having a cylinder head structure with a timing pin hole and a camshaft cavity. The camshaft has a first opening that extends from an outer annular wall of a first shaft towards a longitudinal axis. A cam bushing having a bushing clearance hole is inserted into the camshaft cavity and the camshaft is assembled with the cam bushing and cylinder head structure to align the bearing clearance hole with first opening of the camshaft. A timing pin is inserted through the timing pin hole, bushing clearance hole, and first opening of the camshaft to position the camshaft in a camshaft timing position. The crankshaft is rotated to a crankshaft timing position either before or after the camshaft is rotated for setting a static timing of the crankshaft and camshaft, and the timing pins are removed.

Abstract: A breathing arrangement includes a patient interface, at least one inlet conduit, and a headgear assembly. The patient interface includes a mouth covering assembly including a cushion structured to sealingly engage around exterior of a patient's mouth in use, a nozzle assembly including a pair of nozzles structured to sealingly engage within nasal passages of a patient's nose in use, and a flexible element connecting the mouth covering assembly and the nozzle assembly. The at least one inlet conduit is structured to deliver breathable gas into at least one of the mouth covering assembly and the nozzle assembly for breathing by the patient. The headgear assembly is removably connected to at least one of the mouth covering assembly and the nozzle assembly so as to maintain the mouth covering assembly and the nozzle assembly in a desired position on the patient's face.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method comprises training, using a validation set of input, a first classifier to predict when a second classifier will issue a classification error on a particular input, the first classifier generating a number of data buckets based on the validation set of input and populating a threshold lookup table for each data bucket based on a number of thresholds set for the second classifier during the training; storing each threshold lookup table in memory; obtaining a target error rate; obtaining a new input and running the new input through the first classifier, the first classifier selecting one of the data buckets for the new input; and selecting a threshold for the second classifier using the stored threshold lookup table for the selected data bucket and the target error rate.

Abstract: The present technology provides a computer-implemented method and system for performing frequency selective scheduling between a user equipment (UE) and a base station. The UE selects a sub-band within a predetermined system bandwidth based on observed radio conditions. The UE then communicates the selected sub-band to the base station. The base station then selects a LTE resource block having a frequency range falling within the sub-band. The selected resource block is then used for communication between the base station and the UE. The process may be repeated at a frequency related to the channel coherence.

Abstract: Aspects include a multistage collector to receive outputs from plural processing elements. Processing elements may comprise (each or collectively) a plurality of clusters, with one or more ALUs that may perform SIMD operations on a data vector and produce outputs according to the instruction stream being used to configure the ALU(s). The multistage collector includes substituent components each with at least one input queue, a memory, a packing unit, and an output queue; these components can be sized to process groups of input elements of a given size, and can have multiple input queues and a single output queue. Some components couple to receive outputs from the ALUs and others receive outputs from other components. Ultimately, the multistage collector can output groupings of input elements. Each grouping of elements (e.g., at input queues, or stored in the memories of component) can be formed based on matching of index elements.

Abstract: The present invention provides methods for treating, preventing or ameliorating atopic dermatitis (AtD). In certain embodiments, the invention provides methods to reduce skin infection in a patient with atopic dermatitis. The methods of the present invention include administering to a patient in need thereof a pharmaceutical composition including an anti-interleukin-36 receptor (anit-IL-36R) antibody.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes instructing, at a first time, a camera with multiple pixel sensors to capture a first image of an environment comprising an object to determine a first object pose of the object. Based on the first object pose, the method determines a predicted object pose of the object at a second time. The method determines a predicted camera pose of the camera at the second time. The method generates pixel-activation instructions based on a projection of a 3D model of the object having the predicted object pose onto a virtual image plane associated with the predicted camera pose. The method instructs, at the second time, the camera to use a subset of the plurality of pixel sensors to capture a second image of the environment according to the pixel-activation instructions. The method determines, based on the second image, a second object pose of the object.

Abstract: An integrated metering device allows a resource provider to control the output of a distributed generation device onto a resource distribution network or grid. The integrated metering device may include a communications module, a metrology module, an inverter and regulator device, and a transfer switch. A resource provider may communicate with the integrated metering device via the communications module and may control the inverter and regulator device or the transfer switch. The metrology module may monitor the energy provided by the distributed generation device to the grid and may send information about the generated energy to the resource provider via the communications module.

Price limits control the prices at which traders can place orders. The gap between the upper limit and the indicative marked price as well as the gap between lower limit and the indicative market price is controlled so as to cause a breaking effect on very rapidly changing market price.
