  • Publication number: 20160357871
Abstract: A method and apparatus of a device that selects an application state for use in a multi-device search is described. In this embodiment, the device detects, on the device, that the application state has been selected as a query result for a device-level search on that device. The device further transmits the application state to a server, wherein the application state is to be indexed with other application states from other devices.

  • Publication number: 20160142504
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses that collect tracking data items into a plurality of data stores for one or more domain in response to resources received from the domains are described. Each tracking data item may be accessible for one of the domains. Relationships of the domains may be identified among the tracking data items across multiple data stores according to the resources received. One or more of the domains may be selected according to the identified relationships to control accessibility of the tracking data items for the domains. • Publication number: 20140337424
Abstract: In some implementations, a website can be certified by a push notification service operator to send push notifications to user devices. A web browser on the user's device can communicate with the website to advertise the user device's ability to receive push notifications. The website can provide to the web browser a certificate indicating that the website is authorized to utilize the push notification service. If the certificate is valid and has not been revoked, the browser can prompt the user to allow push notifications from the website. If the user authorizes push notifications, a device token can be provided to the website that allows the website to send push notifications to the user device through the push notification service. In some implementations, the web browser can be configured to provide websites access to APIs for accessing information stored on a user device.

  • Patent number: 8515960
Abstract: Utilizing logical identifiers or sets of metadata to describe, organize, and index content associated with a software application system from one or more content contributors is provided. When a request is made for specific content, the request may point to a logical identifier, and pieces of content applicable to the requested content may be retrieved and presented to a user. By utilizing schematized metadata associated with individual content items, a user's experience may be improved by providing content available from a plurality of content contributors applicable to the user's query.

  • Patent number: 7546375
Abstract: Systems and methods for distributing applications across a server and one or more nodes in a network. When a node is turned on or booted, a node application is requested from the server and loaded on the node. The node application provides a user interface through which other feature applications are selected and run on the node. The node application loads/unloads selected applications and manages node resources for those applications. Each application is developed with a process portion that runs on the server and a user interface portion that is loaded on the node. The node application also provides support to the user interface portion of each application such that the applications may construct user interfaces using the available standards provided by the node application.

  • Publication number: 20080210137
Abstract: A reinforcing system for a floatation device, such as a surfboard, and a method of its manufacture is disclosed. Such a floatation device has an elongated stringer that has at least a top edge and a bottom edge. The reinforcing system of the present invention includes an elongated top bracket and an bottom bracket. The top and bottom sides of each bracket are wider than the top and bottom edges of the stringer. The cross-sectional shape of the top bracket is preferably rectangular, forming an I-beam cross-section when each bracket is fixed to the stringer with a fastening means, such as a strong adhesive or screws. The floatation device is preferably of the type having two buoyant blanks, each adhered to one side of the stringer. During fabrication of the floatation device, each blank is fixed at one substantially flat side thereof to one side of the stringer with adhesive.
