Abstract: A system for providing a game table. A deck of cards and a gaming table is provided. The gaming table comprises a surface having three card-placement areas and a plurality of user-playing areas. Each of the card-placement areas is configured to receive at least one of the cards. Each of the user-playing areas comprises three card-placement indicators configured to associate with one of the card-placement areas and a wagering indicator configured to associate a credit value with at least one of the card-placement areas. A symbol generation apparatus configured to randomly generate a symbol is provided. The symbol randomly generated by the symbol generation apparatus is associated with one of the card-placement areas.

Abstract: A foosball table with longitudinal and lateral player movements above a playing surface is disclosed. The player figures carried on a control shaft in a spaced apart relation along the shaft. A proximal end of the shaft has a control knob operable from an exterior of the table. A distal end of the shaft is pivotally coupled beyond an interior sidewall of the playing surface, yet within an anteroom of the foosball table defined by an exterior panel of the foosball table and the interior sidewall. A longitudinal slot is provided along the exterior panel for a longitudinal displacement of the control shaft and the player figures carried on the control shaft.

Abstract: An example apparatus includes an optical transmitter, an optical splitter, lenses, and mirrors. The optical splitter has an input and several outputs. The input of the optical splitter is optically coupled to the transmitter, such that each of the outputs of the optical splitter is operable to supply a corresponding one of a plurality of modulated optical signals, each of which includes a plurality of optical subcarriers. Each of the lenses is optically coupled to a respective one of the outputs of the optical splitter. Each of the lenses is operable to receive a corresponding one of the modulated optical signals. Each of the mirrors is optically coupled to a corresponding one of the lenses, such that each of the mirrors is operable to direct a respective one of the modulated optical signals for transmission through free space.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods and systems for dynamically configuring a muxponder. One exemplary system may be provided with a muxponder module deployed in an optical network, the muxponder having an optical receiver, a first and a second electrical port, a demultiplexer having a built-in digital cross-connect, and a processor accessing a mapping table to assign traffic streams associated with a first service identification code to a first and a second host lane of the first electrical port, traffic streams associated with a second service identification code to a third and a fourth host lane of the second electrical port, and having logic to control the digital cross-connect to route a first and a second traffic stream to the first electrical port based on the first service identification code, and a third and a fourth traffic stream to the second electrical port based on the second service identification code.

Abstract: Provided is a cable lock including a locking clasp including first and second clasp components having first and second security cable connection arms. The locking clasp includes at least one groove. The at least one groove is configured to receive at least one device cable. The cable lock includes a security cable having a wire rope and a vinyl coating. The wire rope includes a plurality of wire strings arranged in a plurality of clusters. The first and second security cable connection arms of the locking clasp are coupled to a first end of the security cable. First and second stop sleeves are disposed on opposite sides of the first and second security cable connection arms. A device connection means is disposed at a second end of the security cable opposite the first end of the security cable.

Abstract: A trapped vortex combustor for use in a gas turbine engine includes an outer vortex chamber wall and a dome attached to, or formed integrally with, the outer vortex chamber wall. The dome, the outer vortex chamber wall, or both define at least in part an outer trapped vortex chamber and a channel. The channel extends along the circumferential direction at a forward end of the outer vortex chamber wall, the channel configured to receive an airflow through or around the outer vortex chamber wall, the dome, or both and provide such airflow as a continuous annular airflow to the inner surface of the outer vortex chamber wall. The dome further defines a fuel nozzle opening, with all openings in the dome outward of the fuel nozzle opening along the radial direction, excepting any effusion cooling holes having a diameter less than about 0.035 inches, being in airflow communication with the channel.

Abstract: A tool for making contoured composite hat stringers allows control of stringer wrinkling. The tool includes a set of first openings that allow the tool to flex during contouring of the stringer, and a set of second openings into which portions of the composite charge may strain during the contouring.

Abstract: Composite laminate stiffeners such as stringers are punch formed between first and second universal dies respectively carried on first and second trays. The second tray is mounted for sliding movement relative to the first tray between a punch position and a compaction position. Parts of the first and second dies are easily reconfigurable, allowing different shapes of stiffeners to be formed on the same forming apparatus.

Abstract: A method of executing a competitive event using playing cards and a random symbol selector by providing a single random playing card face-down at each three distinct areas. A player identifying a single card position selected as a position having a playing card of the highest rank by the player by indicating a single symbol. A random symbol indicator identifying a random only one of the symbols as a random outcome and turning the single face-down playing card. Comparing ranks of all face-up playing cards on the gaming table and determining if the identified single card position has a highest rank among all face-up playing cards and identifying the player that identified the single playing card position as having a winning outcome in the competitive event. Wagers may also be placed on the selection.

Abstract: A weight bearing fall protection connector includes a first connection member configured to attach the connector to a piece of fall protection equipment, and a second connection member configured to attach the connector to another piece of all equipment, with the connection members fixed to each other to transfer the weight of a worker in a fall event and for movement relative to each other between a ready position and a fall position. The connector further includes a breakable component having a retaining condition wherein the component maintains the members in a ready position and broken condition wherein the component allows the members to move to their fall position. The connector further includes a wireless fall indicator including a wireless transmitter and a switch configured to activate the wireless transmitter in response to movement of the members from the ready position to the fall position.

Abstract: A computer, including a processor and a memory, the memory including instructions to be executed by the processor to train a generative adversarial network (GAN) to reconstruct a missing portion of an image by determining a reconstructed portion of the image based on data from portions of the image surrounding the missing portion and compare an acquired image with the reconstructed portion of the image to determine a damaged portion. The instructions further include instructions to determine estimated damage based on the damaged portion.

Abstract: A soft magnetic composite comprising an iron or iron alloy ferromagnetic material coated with an oxide material. An interface between the ferromagnetic material and the layer of oxide contains antiphase domain boundaries. Two processes for producing a soft magnetic composite are also provided. One process includes depositing an oxide layer onto an iron or iron alloy ferromagnetic material by molecular beam epitaxy at a partial oxygen pressure of from 1×10?5 Torr to 1×10?7 Torr to form a coated composite. The other process includes milling an iron or iron alloy ferromagnetic material powder and an oxide powder by high-energy milling to form a mixture; compacting the mixture and curing in an inert gas atmosphere at a temperature from 500° C. to 1200° C. to form a soft magnetic composite.

Abstract: A system and apparatus for rating accessibility of a number of locations for user and/or members with specific accessibility needs. The user and/or member interacts with a database through his or her communication device or through a website to access locations in a geographic zone that provide accommodations for people with specific accessibility needs in a variety of accessibility categories. The system provides detailed accessibility features within each accessibility category and rates the locations according to the accessibility categories. The member can also input new locations, rate locations already contained in the database, or provide other feedback regarding compliance with legal accessibility guidelines and/or other accessibility standards within the United States and abroad. The system updates the ratings of the accessibility categories and the accessibility features based on input from members.

Abstract: A method for generating presentation slides with distilled content including receiving one or more data files as source material for slide generation, obtaining content from the one or more data files for a slide of a slide presentation, identifying a layout template for the slide based on the content, and distilling the content into distilled content to generate a presentation visualization item based on the distilled content. The distilled content may include a subset of the content. The method may also include generating the slide based on the presentation visualization item and the layout template.
