Publication number: 20240115314Abstract: Provided herein are systems, devices, and methods for performing a medical procedure on a patient. The system comprises an ablation catheter comprising a shaft, at least one therapeutic element positioned on the shaft, and one or more tissue-contact sensing components configured to provide a contact signal related to the level of contact between the at least one therapeutic element and tissue. The system further comprises: an energy delivery unit configured to deliver ablative energy to the at least one therapeutic element to create a lesion in target tissue, and to provide an energy delivery data; a force module configured to receive the contact signal and provide contact data; and a processing unit configured to determine an ablation index based on both the energy delivery data and the contact data. The ablation index can represent the status of the lesion being created.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 17, 2022Publication date: April 11, 2024Inventors: Ahmad FALAHATPISHEH, Steven YON, Xinwei SHI, Haizhe ZHANG, Derrick CHOU, Timothy CORVI, Graydon Earnest BEATTY, Daniel WELSH, Alexander HIGGINS, Marcus JULIAN, R. Patent number: 8334023Abstract: Methods for operating a material dispensing system. The method includes measuring numerical values of an operating parameter, such as line velocity, material pressure, or material temperature, of the dispensing system to predict a future numerical value of the operating parameter. The predicted numerical value of the operating parameter is used to accurately define a start time, which is measured from the detection of the presence of a workpiece being transported past an applicator of the dispensing system, at which to initiate dispensing of the material from the applicator. A calibration procedure is provided for deriving a mathematical relationship used to determine the predicted numerical value of the operating parameter.Type: GrantFiled: October 22, 2008Date of Patent: December 18, 2012Assignee: Nordson CorporationInventors: Martin Gaon, Steven Julian

Patent number: 6734422Abstract: A portable device for detecting surface outgas contaminants of an article includes: (i) a portable housing that has a chamber which is in communication with a port that is adapted to be sealably attached to a surface of the article; (ii) a mass spectrometer that is coupled to the chamber for analyzing gaseous materials in the chamber; and (iii) means for generating a vacuum within the chamber thereby drawing outgas contaminants from the surface of the article into the chamber for analysis by the mass spectrometer. By performing a mass spectrometric analysis of the surface of interest and comparing the data with mass spectrometric data ascertained with the device from a clean surface, the type and amount of outgas contaminants, if any, can be determined.Type: GrantFiled: March 21, 2001Date of Patent: May 11, 2004Assignee: EUV LLCInventors: Steven Julian Haney, Michael E. Malinowski
