  • Publication number: 20100277320
Abstract: The present invention relates to RFID keypad assemblies and, more particularly, to embodiments of RFID keypad assemblies having two or more keys, such as keys that are depressible by a person's finger, each key being associated with a RFID transmitter and capable of enabling the transmitter to transmit a signal that may be read by a compatible RFID reader. Activation of a key may, depending on the embodiment, either enable or disable transmission of any particular RFID transmitter with which it is associated. This provides a RFID keypad assembly that may be made and used as a wireless communication device. Examples of practical applications for a RFID keypad assembly include, but are not limited to: confirming an identity, controlling an object, and requesting a service. Embodiments of RFID keypad assemblies of the present invention may include any of a wide range of variations to enable their use for a diversity of practical consumer, commercial and industrial applications.

  • Publication number: 20100156606
Abstract: An embodiment of a RFID Sensor Assembly includes two or more RFID tags—an identifier tag and one or more sensor tags, each capable of providing output readable by a RFID tag reader. A processing system may identify, based on one or more signals received from the identifier and sensor tags, and/or the lack of receipt of such signals: (1) the identity of the Sensor Assembly and an associated object, and (2) a state of the Sensor Assembly and the associated object. Such “state” information may relate to whether the Sensor Assembly is, or has been, exposed to a particular prompt, e.g., an external input or trigger. Such prompts may relate, for example, to time, temperature, pressure, physical force or mechanical disruption.

  • Patent number: 5203463
Abstract: This invention provides an adjustable system for the storage, organization, display, promotion and dispensing of containerized goods, especially those packaged in boxes, jars, bottles and cans. The system is primarily intended for use on supermarket, convenience store and pharmacy shelves to keep products and labels organized and at the front of the shelf, both appealing and accessible to the consumer. This system is modular and changeable, and is easily rearranged to accomodate rows of products of various shapes and sizes, even within a single system unit. The benefits provided by this system may lead to increased product recognition, lower out-of-stocks and inventorying requirements, improved presentations, optimal real estate utilization, and ultimately, increased profits and sales.

  • Patent number: 4871358
Abstract: This invention provides a medical catheter designed to allow the outer surface of the tube which is adjacent to body tissue to remain stationary relative to such tissue during advancement and retraction of the catheter. This provides many advantages over conventional type catheters, including improved sterility, greater bacterial and debris control, less tissue trauma, reduced pain for the patient, and cost efficiency, both in terms of low initial expense, and minimized expense directly related to a subsequent reduction in catheter-related complications.
