  • Patent number: 7537186
Abstract: A work stand comprises a base having top and bottom sides and a tubular support member extending downwardly from said bottom side. Three legs are spaced apart about the support member and have upper ends pivotally attached to the base and lower ends below the support member for engaging an underlying surface to support the base above said surface. A collar is slidable on the tubular support member between upper and lower positions relative to the base, and links between the collar and legs provide for displacing the legs between extended and retracted positions relative to the support member when the collar is moved along the support member. A handle is mounted on the sleeve for displacing the sleeve and thus the legs between the extended and retracted positions thereof and for carrying the stand in the retracted position of the legs. A latch on the base and a keeper provided by the handle interengage in the retracted position of the legs to releasably hold the legs in the retracted position.

  • Publication number: 20070283741
Abstract: A crimp or press tool is provided that includes two pivotally connected jaw members that can be selectively drawn toward one another in order to crimp or otherwise press a fitting onto a pipe or other workpiece. The tool uses a tightening assembly that enables the application of oppositely directed rotational forces to thereby prevent or at least significantly reduce the potential for imparting undesirable torque moments into the pipe or workpiece.

  • Patent number: 7090054
Abstract: A container for a manually operable oil dispenser for use with metal working machines comprises a bucket providing a reservoir for oil to be dispensed and a pan in the bucket for catching oil and chips dropping thereinto and for returning the oil to the bucket. The bucket has a bottom, a sidewall and an annular upper end, and the pan has an apertured bottom spaced above the bottom of the bucket, a sidewall inwardly of the sidewall of the bucket and an upper end overlying and slidable circumferentially relative to the upper end of the bucket. The bucket and pan have locking members interengaging during relative sliding displacement therebetween to releasably interengage the bucket and pan against separation. The bottom and sidewall of the bucket are contoured to minimize the volume of oil necessary in the reservoir area for continual operation of the dispenser, and the bucket is provided with a bulkhead fitting for attachment to a dispensing pump hose at an angle of 45° to horizontal.
