  • Publication number: 20200026576
Abstract: An architecture for implementing a system planner for determining a number of nodes required in a networked virtualization system based on increasing node density is provided. The system planner receives various inputs describing a current networked virtualization system, an analysis period during which the workload of the current networked virtualization system is expected to increase, and a projected increase in node density during the analysis period. Based on the inputs, the system planner generates a new configuration of the networked virtualization system that includes a number of new nodes that are added to the current networked virtualization system to provide the resources necessary to support the increase in workload during the specified analysis period.

  • Patent number: 8667461
Abstract: A placeholder activity is employed in a workflow or process definition, which may be loaded in a workflow design application even if the type of activity referred by the placeholder activity cannot be loaded. The “reference activity” enables a workflow or a process to bind to an actual activity type at runtime such that the workflow or process can dynamically use a latest version of the activity without a need to modify the workflow/process definition.

  • Publication number: 20070251167
Abstract: A cable molding primarily intended to be installed on a wall structure of a common hallway of a multiple dwelling unit below pre-existing molding, and an overlay molding attachable to the cable molding to conceal both the cable molding and the pre-existing molding. The overlay molding includes a panel molding having upper and lower edges and a flange extending rearwardly from the panel member intermediate the upper and lower edges. The flange defines with a lower portion of the panel member a lower channel shaped to provide a snap fit onto the cable member, and defines with an upper portion of the panel member an upper channel that receives the pre-existing molding.

  • Publication number: 20070106605
Abstract: An apparatus and method for determining billable resources on a computer network determines from network activity data which resources on a computer network are active. The activity monitor then compares the active resources to asset data that indicates the resources being billed to the client. If the active resources on the network do not match the resources being billed to the client, the discrepancy is reported. In this manner, billing records may be updated to reflect billing for resources that are active, thereby enhancing the accuracy of the billing for the resources. This greatly reduces the potential for a client cheating by using resources without paying, thereby enhancing the revenue of the provider of the computer resources. This also reduces the potential for a provider to erroneously bill a client for resources that are not being used.

  • Patent number: 4099453
Abstract: A free-standing coffee-maker assembly including a brewing basket that is seated on a decanter, a paper filter having a flat base being nested within the basket. Boiling water from a reservoir seated on the basket is sprayed over a bed of ground coffee lying over the flat base of the filter, the water percolating through the bed to produce a coffee extract which is discharged through a central opening in the bottom of the basket into the decanter. The bottom of the basket is provided with a depressed region surrounding the central opening to define a well and an annular inactive zone concentric therewith. The well is provided with upstanding ribs to maintain a space between the base of the filter and the well, whereby the coffee extract is free to flow through the filter base only in the region thereof overlying the well.
