  • Publication number: 20070237289
Abstract: A method includes receiving cine scan data, receiving a plurality of target phases of a periodic waveform, and generating a plurality of images, each image centered at one of the received target phases. A phase shall represent a percentage of a period of a repeating cycle.

  • Publication number: 20070081704
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide the use of average CT (ACT) to match the temporal resolution of CT and PET to enhance PET imaging and evaluated tumor quantification with HCT and ACT. For example, an embodiment of a method of enhanced PET imaging on a PET/CT scanner includes generating an average CT scan responsive to 4D CT emission image data to thereby correct attenuation in PET emission image data. Another embodiment of a method of attenuation correction in a PET/CT scan includes averaging a plurality of consecutive low dose CT images of approximately one breathing cycle to thereby obtain an average CT.

  • Publication number: 20060178575
Abstract: A method of imaging an object using a medical imaging system is provided. The imaging method acquires a stream of sinogram data. Changes in the stream of sinogram data corresponding to movement of the object are detected. The method selects portions of the stream of sinogram data. An image of the object based on the selected portions of the sinogram data is generated.
