  • Publication number: 20090236332
Abstract: A turntable apparatus is provided for use in a microwave oven which includes a turntable driving motor, turntable drive mechanism connected to the turntable driving motor, an oven door, and a door switch. The subject apparatus is comprised of a turntable unit which is mechanically connected to the turntable drive gearing. The turntable unit includes a plurality of article sensors which suitably may be weight sensors, photo-sensors, or the like. A turntable control microprocessor is electrically connected to the turntable driving motor, to the plurality of sensors, and to the door switch. By receiving signals from the sensors and from the door switch, and by sending signals to the turntable driving motor to rotate the turntable unit, the turntable control microprocessor is adapted to automatically adjusts the position of the turntable unit (and a sensed food container placed thereon) with respect to the oven door such that the food container is proximal to the oven door when the oven door is open.

  • Patent number: 7433786
Abstract: A method of estimating geological location depths by converting horizon data from the time domain to the depth domain is provided wherein the method includes at least a data accumulation step and a data evaluation step, and wherein the data evaluation step further includes assignment of greater statistical weight to data derived from closer data acquisition points than to data derived from further data acquisition points using a weighted regression analysis, with distance being one of several weighting criteria. Layer-by-layer computation of geological formation depths is achieved by extracting values from horizon time data set at exact geographic locations in the next deeper horizon, thereby allowing interval computations to be carried out without the need for gridding.

  • Patent number: 7112151
Abstract: A golf club alignment apparatus includes a golf club head portion which includes an optimal ball hitting portion also known as a “sweet spot”. One or two laser units are connected to the golf club head portion, and the laser units project planar laser beams (e. g. fan beams), wherein portions of the planar laser beams impinge on the ground. The planar laser beams are oriented perpendicularly to a front face of the golf club head portion. The support platform projects outward from behind the golf club head portion. Each laser unit includes a laser beam generating portion for emitting a planar laser beam from the laser beam generating portion. Alignment of a target with a golf ball is aided by employing the planar laser beams.

  • Patent number: 6995787
Abstract: A sports projectile and camera apparatus includes a sports projectile which includes a sports projectile outside housing. A camera is housed inside the sports projectile outside housing. The camera includes a camera lens which faces outside the sports projectile outside housing. A transmitter is connected to the camera, for transmitting waves which include information relating to images picked up by the camera. A shock absorbent assembly is inside the sports projectile outside housing and surrounds the camera. A ground or base station receives the transmitted waves, and which includes a transmitted-wave receiver. An image capture and processing system is connected to the receiver for receiving and processing images, and a monitor displays images processed by the image capture and processing system. The sports projectile and camera apparatus of the invention transmits and records images that a sports projectile would see if the projectile had eyes.

  • Publication number: 20040236452
Abstract: A packaging apparatus includes a computer system, a three-dimensional scanner electrically connected to the computer system, and three-dimensional numerically controlled cutting machine electrically connected to the computer system. The three-dimensional scanner provides three-dimensional coordinate data to the computer system of an article that is scanned. The three-dimensional numerically controlled cutting machine, under control of the computer system, operates upon a three-dimensional packing element to form a three-dimensional packing element which is complimentary-shaped with respect to the article that is scanned. Preferably, the three-dimensional scanner includes a laser, three-dimensional scanner. Preferably, the numerically controlled cutting machine operates upon a first packing block for a first half of the article and a second packing block for a second half of the article.

  • Publication number: 20030226438
Abstract: An automatic cutting apparatus is provided for cutting a workpiece and includes a marked line on the workpiece, a saw table, a saw unit, and a rotatable shaft supporting the saw unit. A first linear direction beam permits movement of the saw unit in a first direction, and a second linear direction beam permits movement of the saw unit in a second direction. A marked line sensor unit is connected to the saw unit. An electrically powered drive assembly is responsive to the marked line sensor unit which is responsive to the marked line on the marked workpiece. The electrically powered drive assembly automatically drives the saw unit along the first linear direction beam and the second linear direction beam. In this way, the saw blade automatically advances along the marked line and cuts the workpiece in accordance with the marked pattern on the workpiece without manually guiding the cutting tool unit.

  • Patent number: 6571676
Abstract: A gun system has a two piece cannon assembly that is separated between a removable chamber instead of a traditional breech, and a projectile forcing cone. The chamber has a plug at one end that can accommodate any type of ignition system, and the other end is open and is attached to the barrel with a connection fitting. High pressure gases created by combustion of the propellant are sealed with a high-pressure gas compression seal at the interface between the chamber and the barrel. The connection fitting provides an attachment for a rear cannon bearing slide, which rides on rails attached to the main support structure, and also reacts any torque induced into the barrel from the actuation of the chamber/barrel locking collar. A turntable upon which are mounted two chamber elevating/support mechanisms and two projectile loader/rammer mechanisms is positioned around one of the main support structure legs.

  • Patent number: 5065059
Abstract: A high start/stop cyclic capability connector to interconnect the field coil poles in a rotating electric machine. The connector includes a U-shaped intermediate portion with parallel jaws which include extensions perpendicular to the faces of the jaws a distance significantly greater than the width of the jaws, and with connecting pads configured for matching connection to the field coils and orienting the connector such that start/stop inertial forces are applied in the radial direction which causes circumferential flexure of the connector, and flexure due to thermal cycling is in the circumferential direction.

  • Patent number: 4854034
Abstract: A stator of a dynamoelectric machine is preassembled using guidance members which are disposed at a skew angle with respect to a central axis of the stator. The outer perimeter of the preassembled elements is then machined to form guidance elements disposed parallel to a central axis of the stator. Then, the preassembled elements are mounted in a frame on further guidance elements disposed parallel to the central axis of the stator. During final assembly, axial compression forces act parallel to guidance forces, whereby hanging up is avoided.
