    Abstract: An impact-absorption mechanism installable on an automotive vehicle to minimize damage to vehicles involved in street accidents. At the onset of an accident a pressurized gas is introduced into one or more air bags to automatically inflate the bags and move them outwardly from the vehicle body. The inflated bags are impacted by the other vehicle, such that some of the collision force is dissipated without causing damage to the vehicles.
