  • Publication number: 20200342784
Abstract: A dent removal teaching system may include a base frame and an upper frame movably coupled, or articulating with the base frame. The upper frame may include a plurality of access holes, whereby a dent removal tool may be inserted into one of the plurality of access holes. The dent removal teaching system may also include a body panel which may be releasably secured to the upper frame, so that a user may apply force to a dent in the body panel using the dent removal tool. This combination provides a teaching environment to practice the removal of a dent from a vehicle body.

  • Publication number: 20200269301
Abstract: An adjustable dent removal tool may include a handle coupled to a duel adjustment system, the duel adjustment system may include a body secured to the handle. The body may include a plurality of first engagement teeth. A piston may be provided that may be movably coupled to the body, the piston may include a plurality of second engagement teeth, which may be selectively engaged with the first engagement teeth, thereby releasably locking the body to the piston. A lower body may be secured to the body. The lower body may include a tool receiver. A tool shaft may be provided that may be releasably locked to the lower body in more than one position.

  • Patent number: 10029351
Abstract: A clamping tool of the type including a C-shaped body and a drive screw with a threaded portion in mechanical communication with a threaded receiver in one end of the C-shaped body and including at least two threaded receivers in one end of the C-shaped body, each adapted to separately and independently receive and support the threaded portion of the drive screw. A backstop may be included with a backstop pin extending from a surface of the backstop and at least two non-collinear backstop bushings in a second end of the C-shaped body. The at least two non-collinear backstop bushings may each be adapted to receive and support the backstop pin of the backstop, thereby providing more than one position of the backstop on the C-shaped body.

  • Publication number: 20110016632
Abstract: An adjustable storage system may include a storage tray with a support surface and a clamp mount including a clamp axis. The clamp mount may be coupled to the storage tray with the clamp axis positioned substantially parallel to the support surface. The storage system may also include a clamp, rotatably coupled to the clamp mount about the clamp axis, whereby the tray may be adjustably positioned relative to the clamp about the clamp axis. When the storage system is secured to a frame, such as a bed rail, by use of the clamp, the support surface of the tray may be positioned substantially parallel to a reference plane, such as the floor, regardless of the angle of inclination of a frame relative to the reference plane. This enables stable support of objects supported by the tray when the bed is inclined or flat.

  • Patent number: 6854862
Abstract: An adjustable light includes a knock down base frame, a vertical frame, which supports a boom arm, which in turn supports a light fixture. The light fixture is supported on the boom arm by a fixture mount that provides five degrees of freedom of movement of the light fixture relative to the boom arm. The boom arm is pivotally mounted to the vertically adjustable frame, thereby providing two additional degrees of freedom to the light fixture relative to the ground. The base frame includes two legs that are movably secured to the base frame. The base frame and the legs include wheels, the wheel supports being movably mounted to the frame and legs to allow for free movement on any planar surface on which the adjustable light is supported. The boom arm and the shield of the light fixture include bumpers to prevent damage by inadvertent contact to a surface. The lens in the fixture is replaceable to allow the user to use different lenses as dictated by the job requirements.

  • Patent number: 6244086
Abstract: An alignment device to assist a user in the functional application of a hand tool. The hand tool can take a variety of forms but is preferably a dent removal tool. The alignment device is preferably retrofitable onto existing hand tools by use of a base bracket that mounts onto the handle or shank of the tool. A sight device is mounted on the device and includes a multiple degree of freedom joint. This joint allows the user to easily and quickly align the sight device to locate the work piece. The work piece can then be placed in a desired position even positioned such that it is obscured from the sight of the user. Positioning the work piece of a dent removal tool behind the opaque surface of dented sheet metal structure is a typical application. The alignment device allows the user to quickly and accurately position the work piece, behind the surface, thereby increasing the efficiency of the user.
