  • Publication number: 20240056113
Abstract: A method for signal detection including the steps of: (1) iteratively acquiring sets of signal samples in a time domain N times; (2) iteratively applying a first transform to each iteratively captured samples in the time domain to convert each set of samples in the time domain to a corresponding subsequent set of samples in a frequency domain; (3) iteratively creating array rows using each of the sets of samples in the frequency domain wherein each subsequent array row has a length N; (4) appending each subsequent array row to the array until a second axis representing time reaches length N; (5) applying a second transform to the array to create a plurality of layers of spectral content; (6) determining a location of a signal of interest within the array based on a threshold; and (7) applying a bounding box to the array to isolate the signal of interest.

  • Patent number: 11888506
Abstract: A system for signal detection including a receiver, a transforming block, a noise reduction block, and an object detection block. The receiver is adapted to provide an initial dataset sampled in a time domain over a frequency range. The transforming block is adapted to receive the initial dataset and convert the initial dataset from the time domain to a multi-channel time-frequency domain array. The noise reduction block is adapted to receive the multi-channel time-frequency domain array and provide a clean data set, wherein the clean data set is defined as a noise signal subtracted from the multi-channel time-frequency domain array. The object detection block is adapted to receive the clean dataset and to provide a bounded data set, wherein the bounded data set is defined by a bounding box associated with a portion of the multi-channel time-frequency domain array containing a signal with energy above a threshold level.

  • Publication number: 20210020050
Abstract: A communication system for an unmanned aerial vehicle operating beyond visual line of sight may include an airborne radio and a plurality of ground radios. The airborne radio is carried by the unmanned aerial vehicle. The plurality of ground radios are in wireless communication with the airborne radio. Each of the plurality of ground radios includes a processor adapted to calculate one or more performance metrics related to communication between the airborne radio and a respective one of the plurality of ground radios. One of the plurality of ground radios is selected as an active ground radio based on the one or more performance metrics. The airborne radio is configured to receive control data only from the active ground radio.

  • Publication number: 20110216904
Abstract: A method for transmitting secured data over a wireless communication network. The method includes transmitting a subframe. The subframe has a preamble, an initialization vector comprising an encrypting key and a burst wherein the burst is encrypted based on the initialization vector and wherein the burst further has a payload and a cyclic redundancy check. The method further includes providing a decrypting key wherein the decrypting key allows the burst to be decrypted.
