  • Publication number: 20240094741
Abstract: Disclosed herein are a method and apparatus for automated following behind a lead vehicle. The lead vehicle navigates a path from a starting point to a destination. The lead vehicle and the following vehicle are connected via V2V communication, allowing one or more following vehicles to detect the path taken by the lead vehicle. A computerized control system on the following vehicle (a Follow-the-Leader, or FTL, system) allows the following vehicle to mimic the behavior of the lead vehicle, with the FTL system controlling steering to guide the following vehicle along the path previously navigated by the lead vehicle. In some embodiments, the lead vehicle and following vehicle may both use Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) position coordinates. In some embodiments, the following vehicle may also have a system of sensors to maintain a gap between the following and lead vehicles.

  • Publication number: 20070173315
Abstract: The disclosed invention relates to gaming devices and more particularly to an improved method for forming a bet or bonus line used by a probabilistic gaming device to determine a payout. The disclosed probabilistic gaming device uses a number of reels, each of which display a plurality of tiles. A bet-line is formed by selecting a tile from a leading reel, and then selecting a tile from one of the center reels. The bet-line is then comprised of the row of center tiles including the selected center tile, and the selected tile from the leading reel. After selecting a bet-line the player then plays a game; the reels are activated, and a payout is determined by the configuration of the displayed tiles after the reels come to a rest. The final tile configuration is also checked to determine if a bonus line payout is due, where the bonus line may be formed horizontally or vertically.

  • Patent number: 5733674
Abstract: A power supply system that allows a user to standardize on one or two battery types and use these supported types to power electronic devices designed to use other, non-supported battery types. A battery sleeve is provided to convert the form factor of one battery to that of another battery. The system may also include a battery pack assembly that allows batteries of a supported type to be used to power electronic devices designed to use a conventional, proprietary battery pack design. Such battery pack assemblies allow dedicated, single use battery chargers sold with a given electronic device to be used to charge consumer capped batteries that may be used in other electronic devices. A universal charger/power supply unit may be provided that can used to charge a variety of rechargeable batteries and provide power to a variety of electronic devices.
