  • Patent number: 8915044
Abstract: A mounting clip for use in the construction industry. This device will be used to effectively and efficiently establish a gap under the bottom edge of a building wall board, such as sheet rock or gypsum boards. Hanging of building panels on wall assemblies in building construction projects is very common. The present invention is a gapping device which fits onto the bottom edge of sheet rock wall board like a shoe. The clip holds the sheet rock in position raised off of the floor while the sheet rock hanger permanently affixes the panel to the panel support area, typically a stud wall. The clip prevents moisture from wicking from the floor into the wall board material The clip is designed to become a permanent fixture in the final wall construction.

  • Publication number: 20140372680
Abstract: Provided are an embedded storage and an embedded storage system. The embedded storage includes a flash memory control unit, a host interface unit, and at least one off-chip flash memory interface unit. The embedded storage system includes the embedded memory and at least one expanded flash memory. The expanded flash memory performs data interaction with the flash memory control unit through the off-chip flash memory interface unit. The embedded storage and the embedded storage system can solve that because an embedded memory does not have an off-chip flash memory interface for connection to an off-chip flash memory, resulting in poor expandability for storage capacity of the embedded memory. A storage cost may further be lowered through a combination of various types of NAND flash memories.

Each of the contact springs includes a contact body having opposite inner and outer side surfaces and a contact edge that extends between the inner and outer side surfaces. The contact body is shaped to form a spring base and a mating portion. The spring bases of the contact springs are joined by a locking feature. The locking feature includes a localized portion of at least one of the spring bases. The localized portion frictionally engages the other spring base to interlock the spring bases. Each of the mating portions extends from the corresponding spring base. The mating portions are separated by a receiving space and are configured to engage the conductive component when the conductive component is inserted into the receiving space.

  • Publication number: 20140344048
Abstract: In some embodiments, an apparatus includes a weight module, a performance module and an allocator module. The weight module calculates a weight for each segment from a set of segments of potential advertisement placements matching a criterion. The weight for a segment is based at least partially on (1) a budget score for an advertisement campaign and (2) a number of potential placements for the segment. The performance module calculates a performance score for the advertisement campaign at each segment from the set of segments. The performance score of the segment is based on a success metric for an advertisement at the segment and a number of impressions for the segment. The allocator module presents the advertisement at a placement associated with the segment if the weight for the segment is greater than a first threshold and the performance score for the segment is greater than a second threshold.

  • Publication number: 20140340072
Abstract: A utility meter and related methods are disclosed. The utility meter includes a sensor device positioned around a conductor to sense current flowing through the conductor. The sensor device includes a non-magnetic substrate, a coil comprising a plurality of turns wound about the substrate, and a dielectric material having a dielectric constant and positioned between the coil and the conductor. The utility meter also includes a meter control board in communication with the sensor device to determine an amount of electricity transmitted through the conductor from the power source to the user over time. The dielectric constant of the dielectric material is selected to reduce a capacitive coupling between the coil and the conductor and to reduce a sensitivity of the sensor device such that the meter control board comprises only one calibration coefficient for calibrating the sensor device over a current range.

  • Patent number: 8856260
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media for manipulating in-memory data entities are provided. Embodiments of the present invention use a Representational State Transfer (“REST”) web service to manipulate the in-memory data entities. In one embodiment, a “snap shot” is taken of the in-memory data entities at a point in time to create representations of the entities. A hierarchy of the representations is built. The hierarchy is used to make the entities addressable via a URI. Embodiments of the invention may then map the entity representations in the hierarchy to the entities. An embodiment of the invention uses handlers to process a REST style request addressed to an entity representation. The handler reads the command and determines whether the command is authorized for performance on the entity and performs that command, if appropriate.
