    Abstract: A liquid protection shield for a sensor probe in an exhaust system is provided. The liquid protection shield includes a sensor tip housing portion having a substantially cylindrical shape and multiple apertures formed through a sidewall of the sensor tip housing portion. The liquid protection shield further includes a shoulder portion integrally coupled to the sensor tip housing portion and having a substantially cylindrical shape. The sensor tip housing portion and the shoulder portion collectively define a central passage for the sensor probe.
