Abstract: A method for anodizing and dying metal using a fluorescent anodization dye includes cleaning a metallic object to remove grease, chemicals, impurities and existing anodization; performing an anodization procedure on the metallic object; submerging the metallic object within a fluorescent dye bath; and sealing the fluorescent dye and anodization to the metallic object surface.

Abstract: A system and methods of the present invention advantageously provide efficient mail processing and handling that, as compared to existing procedures, enhances detection of biological, germ, chemical, or other harmful agents within the mail being processed or handled. A system and methods additionally provide a higher level of quality and consistency for processing and handling mail so that concerns over contamination of postal workers and potential mail recipients are reduced. A system and methods further provide enhanced detection of contaminated mail contents, mail, mail equipment, mail containers, and mail personnel due to exposure or contact with harmful agents associated with mail. The system and methods preferably includes the use of at least one harmful agent sensor associated with mail processing equipment.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method for processing mail for both the mailer and United States Postal Service. This system allows mailers to develop new, efficient processes for producing, combining, and distributing mailings to the USPS. The USPS may then distribute these mailing to Postal customers in a more efficient manner as a result of the new process of tender by mailers. The net effect of this method change is the increase efficiency of handling leading to stable or lower postal rates. A second primary benefit is the improvement in quality of the delivered product. The method changes utilize the integration of one or more processes, reduced handling, elimination of mechanical bundles sorter, the reduction of use and/or eventual potential elimination of sacks.

Abstract: The present invention provides an improved and simplified method for preparing and merging mailings from two or more separate mailings. The method includes evaluating a plurality of bundles of mailings, and merging one or more of the bundles of mailings into at least one merged mailing. Each of the plurality of bundles of mailings is evaluated in regards to at least one evaluation characteristic to determine an optimal combination of bundles of mailings such that the merged mailing has an optimal value for the at least one evaluation characteristic. This method uses low cost equipment with a simplified process to combine multiple batches of mail to a single mailing onto pallets in a manner that provides for easy postal service verification of postage required. The primary benefit is a method to achieve the lowest cost when mailer preparation, copalletization, transportation and postage costs are considered.
