  • Patent number: 11090329
Abstract: An orally administered composition that includes least one alkaline agent with a pH of at least 9.0 to 12.0, mixed in an aqueous vehicle with relatively high surface tension, high viscosity and lateral adhesion properties. When mixed, a low water soluble emulsion is formed that evenly coats and partially adheres to the lower section of the esophagus and the LES and forms a relatively long acting, protective barrier and partially neutralizes gastric acid. Mixed in the composition is at least one catechin 0.01 to 0.05% by weight. The alkaline agent is potassium hydroxide and the aqueous vehicle is made of hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose, polyethylene glycol or ethylene glycol and additional thickener agents capable of withstanding high pH environments, such as xanthan gum, croscarmellose sodium, and microcrystalline cellulose.

  • Patent number: 10213453
Abstract: Oral formulation of particles made of an agglomeration of a plurality of seed granules or a single seed granule both surrounded by three layers and an outer gel coating. The seed granules are made of calcium carbonate with microscopic fissures. Disposed inside the fissures and in the interstitial spaces of the agglomerate seed granules are microscopic particles of alkali metal salts and other ions. Coating the agglomerate or single seed granules is an alkaline-resistant first layer made of microcrystalline cellulose and croscarmellose sodium that binds and protects the surrounding second layer. Surrounding the first layer is a second layer comprising a mixture of a flavonoid and polysaccharide or polypeptide binder or polymer gel. Surrounding the second layer is a third layer made of alkaline earth metal salt particles holding alkali metal hydroxide ions within a polysaccharide or polymer gel. Surrounding the third layer is at least one outer gel layer.

When mixed, a low water soluble emulsion is formed that evenly coats and partially adheres to the lower section of the esophagus and the LES and forms a relatively long acting, protective barrier and partially neutralizes gastric acid. In one embodiment, the alkaline agent is potassium hydroxide and the aqueous vehicle is made of hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose, polyethylene glycol or ethylene glycol and additional thickener agents capable of withstanding high pH environments, such as xanthan gum, croscarmellose sodium, and microcrystalline cellulose. Additional organoleptic agents, such as gum Arabic and polyethylene glycol, flavorings, such as sodium chloride, acesulfame potassium, sodium saccharine, and mint, and stabilizers such as colloidal silica made be added.

  • Patent number: 8066562
Abstract: A method of simulating a traditional casino roulette game experience using a specially designed deck of thirty eight (38) playing cards to determine a winning number rather than via a spin of the roulette wheel. The deck includes one card for each single unique number from the roulette wheel, i.e. 00, 0, and numbers 1-36. The deck is shuffled so that the cards are drawn at random to simulate a spin of the roulette wheel. The dealer activates the shuffler to draw a card from the shuffled deck. A bar code on the drawn card is read into a computer via a scanner. Scanning the card activates the computer to provide a visual representation of a spin of the roulette wheel on a monitor located near the roulette table. The visualization shows the ball landing on the unique number of the roulette wheel dictated by the drawn card.

  • Patent number: 7669854
Abstract: A method of simulating a traditional craps game experience using a specially designed deck of thirty six (36) playing cards to determine play rather than rolling dice. The deck of playing cards includes one card for each possible roll combination of a pair of dice. The deck is shuffled so that the cards are drawn at random to simulate a player rolling dice. The stickman activates the shuffler to draw a card from the shuffled deck. A bar code on the drawn card is read into a computer via a scanner and the computer then provides a visual representation of a dice roll on the monitors provided on either end of the craps table with the visualization showing the dice landing on the roll combination dictated by the drawn card. The display is activated when the shooter rolls the trackball mouse.

  • Patent number: 7464143
Abstract: A digital object delivery/management system includes a library of stored digital objects and a shared database containing web server access codes and a mapping indicating which users are authorized to access which stored digital objects. The shared database is coupled to a file transfer protocol (FTP) server and a web server. The FTP server is additionally coupled to the library. The web server presents at least one web page providing instructions for users seeking access to digital objects contained in the library, authenticates users according to the web server access codes, generates temporary FTP access codes for use by authenticated users in accessing authorized objects at the FTP server, and redirects authenticated users to the FTP server. The FTP server authenticates users according to the temporary FTP access codes, and, upon successful authentication, makes digital objects contained in the library available to requesting users pursuant to the mapping.

  • Patent number: 6087593
Abstract: A wire harness protector having an open slide trough closed by a removable cover, and containing an internal wire harness carrier attached to the harness, for example by taping, and connected to the cover to slide in the trough when the cover is closed. The carrier is generally L-shaped, and the trough has a wire slot formed in a sidewall thereof generally parallel to the guide slot in the cover, such that the wire harness is redirected laterally within the trough by the carrier, with an incoming end sliding longitudinally in the trough, and an outgoing end sliding laterally through the wire slot in the side wall. The wire harness protector according to the invention is especially useful for protecting and controlling wire harness slack found between hinged and sliding surfaces in a vehicle, for example doors, hoods and trunk lids.

  • Patent number: 5962814
Abstract: A wire harness protector having a hinged guide for controlling movement of the wire harness adjacent the protector. The protector is an open-ended trough with a hinged, latchable cover and fasteners for securing the trough to a moving surface, such as a vehicle trunk lid. The guide is hinged to an end of the trough, with a free end enabling it to swing relative to the trough. A central slot extends along a length of the guide, sized to receive a standard clip head strapped to the wire harness in a fixed position on the harness. When the surface to which the trough is secured moves, the wire harness slides relative to the trough. The clip head travels along the slot and the guide pivots relative to the end of the trough, controlling both sliding and bending movement of the wire harness.
