  • Patent number: 7508425
Abstract: A device, system, method and software product for storing, maintaining, sharing and displaying of digital images in a common designated collection on at least one portable storage and display device. The device has a first memory section designated for storing images that are obtained by the digital device and a second memory section for storing digital images of the designated collection. The second memory section has a protected mode that prevents the digital images in the second memory section from being deleted or overwritten until the user of the digital display and storage device disables the protected mode. When the protected mode of the second section is disabled then the device will overwrite the digital images of the second memory section with the newly captured digital images.

  • Patent number: 7348998
Abstract: The method of capturing a digital image for viewing from a stream of digital images on a touch display of a digital imaging device includes accessing a stream of digital images comprised of a plurality of individual digital images, selecting an individual image from the stream of digital images by touching the touch display, and automatically saving the selected individual image to a storage device. The method of orienting a digital image for viewing on a touch display of a digital imaging device includes accessing the digital image, the digital image being defined by a plurality of sides, displaying the digital image in a first orientation on the touch display with four corners of the digital imaging device, the display, providing selection means for select at least one of the corners; and automatically displaying the digital image in a second orientation responsive to the selecting of one of the corners.

  • Patent number: 7301562
Abstract: An imaging system and method are provided. In accordance with the method a trigger signal is detected and an image of a scene is captured in response to the trigger signal. The image is presented. A verification mode is determined and the presentation of the captured image is ended at a first ending time when a first verification mode is determined the presentation of the captured image is ended at a second ending time when a second verification mode is determined.

  • Patent number: 7053953
Abstract: In one aspect of the present invention, a method is provided for using a display having a predetermined display resolution to show out of focus areas in an archival image having a greater resolution than the predetermined display resolution. In this method, a verification image sized for presentation on the display, is provided. Portions of the archival image that are out of focus are identified. The verification image is blurred so that portions of the verification image that correspond to out of focus portions of the archival image appear out of focus when the verification image is presented on the display. In another aspect a camera system is provided having a source of an archival image with a predetermined resolution and a verification display having an image display resolution that is lower than the predetermined resolution of the archival image.
