  • Patent number: 12064346
Abstract: Systems, devices, kits, and methods are described for securing a bioprosthetic heart valve within an anatomical feature of a patient. Kits can comprise a bioprosthetic heart valve, a curable composition, and an applicator configured to deliver the curable composition to a target area. The bioprosthetic heart valve can comprise a support structure and one or more valve leaflets coupled thereto. The support structure can comprise a sewing portion peripheral of the bioprosthetic heart valve. The support structure and the valve leaflets can define a central flow orifice. The curable composition can comprise a pre-polymer composition and an initiator. Methods can comprise positioning the bioprosthetic heart valve within the anatomical feature of a patient, applying the curable composition to one or both of the bioprosthetic heart valve and the anatomical feature, and curing the curable composition for a cure time. The applying can be performed before or after the positioning.

  • Publication number: 20240016632
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method including positioning a first guidewire within a primary guidewire lumen of a multi-lumen tapered tip. A second guidewire is positioned within a secondary guidewire lumen and a shared guidewire lumen of the multi-lumen tapered tip, the second guidewire preventing the first guidewire from entering the shared guidewire lumen. A delivery system including the multi-lumen tapered tip is advanced over the second guidewire. By advancing the delivery system over a single guidewire, any possibility of entanglement of multiple guidewires during advancement of the delivery system is eliminated. The method further includes a guidewire exchange including releasing the second guidewire from the shared guidewire lumen, advancing the first guidewire through and out of the shared guidewire lumen, and advancing the delivery system over the first guidewire to a deployment location.

  • Publication number: 20210187135
Abstract: A method of preparing a sterilized heart valve, the method comprising: compressing a compressible frame of a heart valve from an expanded configuration to a crimped configuration; the heart valve comprising the frame and a plurality of leaflets coupled to the frame; wherein each of the plurality of leaflets comprises a dry, unfixed, decellularized, antigen-free biological tissue that has been treated with a solution comprising a polyol or polyhydric alcohol; packaging the heart valve within a sealed packaging system while the heart valve is in the crimped configuration; and sterilizing the heart valve packaged within the sealed packaging system with one or more cycles of electron beam radiation.
