  • Patent number: 7473265
Abstract: Filters and method of manufacturing filters are disclosed herein. The filter has a substantially sack-like shape having a closed distal end and an open proximal end. The filter can be constructed from thin film. The filter material can be an organic or inorganic polymer. In one embodiment, the filter material is a polyurethane film having a thickness of les than 25 ?m. The filter can be constructed from one or more sections of filter material. In the two-section embodiment, the outer edges of the first and second sections are overlapped and bonded using solvent, heat or other bonding process. In the single-section embodiment, the outer edges of the first section are overlapped and bonded using bonding agents, such as solvent or adhesive, heat or other bonding process. Filters of the present invention have a reduced amount of hysteresis so as to reform to its original shape when deployed.

  • Publication number: 20080000083
Abstract: A process for lining or for relining a fluid helical device stator. In one preferred embodiment, the process includes removing an existing helical surface of a progressive cavity helical device from a housing which is connected to tubulars used downhole in a subterranean well. A mandrel having a helical exterior is inserted into a mold. In one preferred embodiment, a composite stator insert is formed in the mold composed of fibers and resin. Once the composite stator insert has been formed, the mandrel and the mold are removed. The composite stator insert is inserted into and attached to the housing.

  • Patent number: 6688306
Abstract: A medical device clamping assembly includes proximal and distal axially aligned members. The proximal and distal members are movable relative to each other. A channel is defined through the members for receipt of a treatment device, such as a catheter tube, therethrough. A clamping member is configured between the proximal and distal members and defines a portion of the channel. The clamping member is actuated between an unclamped configuration and a clamped configuration by a clinician moving one of the distal or proximal members relative to the other. In its clamped position, the clamping member clamps upon and prevents axial movement of the medical treatment device through the clamping assembly.
