  • Patent number: 9819651
Abstract: A computerized security peripheral device has a central processing unit (CPU), a power supply, a digital memory; a microphone; a speaker apparatus; first circuitry enabling wireless data transfer to and from a communication device having compatible wireless communication capability; and second circuitry executing coded instructions enabling encryption of audio input at the microphone and decryption of incoming encrypted voice data using one or more keys stored in the digital memory. The audio input at the microphone is converted to an audio data stream that is encrypted using the one or more keys, and then is provided as an encrypted stream through the first circuitry to the network-connected communication device, and wherein encrypted voice data received at the first circuitry is decrypted using the one or more keys, and the decrypted data is provided as voice date to the speaker apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20120224513
Abstract: The present invention enables the user of a VOIP device to place simultaneous calls to multiple users and invite them to a conference using a pre-defined code. In a preferred embodiment, the user can customize a dynamic two digit code and associate a list of phone numbers with it. The present invention does away with the need to use a ‘*’ or a ‘#’ as a prefix when initialing a control code call. Therefore, if the user wants the phone to do something, i.e., call forwarding, hold, block number etc, the user no longer has to press ‘*98’. The user can simply input 98 and the system will recognize it as a control code call command. The system accomplishes this task by determining a pre-determined amount of time that has passed after the user entered the last phone digit.

  • Patent number: 5379890
Abstract: The jacket for a compact disc carrier comprises a generally rectangular space defined by a top panel, bottom panel, two side panels and an end panel. A compact disc carrier is slidable within the space in the direction of the jacket and carrier lengths. Protrusions extending from the jacket into the jacket space engage the carrier near an edge and prevent further motion that would otherwise separate the carrier and jacket when the carrier is being withdrawn from the jacket. The projections from the jacket, which stop the relative motion between the jacket and disc carrier at a predetermined position, are flaps that connect to or near the edges of the top and bottom panels at the open jacket end and extend into the jacket space. The jacket is formed by folding from a single blank of material. In another embodiment the jacket is releasibly connected to a dummy housing to provide an oversized carton for sales and promotional purposes.

  • Patent number: 5238181
Abstract: A container with an integral pouring spout a method for manufacturing the same are provided, the container being manufactured from a planar blank by means of a manufacturing process which involves only a small number of very simple steps. The container has a pouring spout which is formed integrally with one of the walls of the container, and during the assembly of the container, portions of the spout are aligned with grooves in the opening for the spout, so that the components of the spout are guided, whereby the spout is opened and set up in a controlled manner. The spout is covered by an overlying layer of material and the region above the spout is perforated. The upper extreme of the perforated region extends above the top of the container to permit easy grasping and removal of the perforated region.
