  • Publication number: 20060129908
Abstract: Methods for displaying descriptors in conjunction with a streaming media presentation are disclosed. Descriptors may be positioned on top of a streaming media image to provide association with image elements of the presentation. The availability of descriptors for an image element may be indicated highlighting the element, highlighting the element when a cursor is over the element, or changing cursor appearance when over the element. Interactive access points responsive to user input may provide links or may control selection and rendering of descriptors. Element indicators may be displayed to associate descriptors with image elements. Image element identifiers may also provide association with image elements, wherein such association may be dynamic, and may indicate user response actions for additional or updated descriptors. A receiving unit receives a streaming media presentation and renders the presentation and any descriptors, indicators, highlights, and/or image element identifiers.
