  • Publication number: 20240295044
Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods specifically tailored for facilitating the mitigation of cosmetic impressions associated with fingerprint impressions on surface(s) of articles of manufacture made from anodized substrates. To this end, such methods provide for removal of fingerprints by enzymatically functionalizing the surface(s) of the article of manufacture (e.g., a cosmetic coating thereof) to generate an enzymatically active surface and activating such enzymatically functionalized surface(s) to promote such fingerprint removal. Thus methods and articles of manufacture made in accordance with such methods provide improved end-use utility and functionality of many products for consumer electronic applications, automotive applications, building materials applications, and the like.

  • Publication number: 20240132704
Abstract: Sealants and caulks (i.e., polymeric fillers) disclosed herein are polymeric fillers that comprises a polymeric material composition and one or more lipolytic enzymes dispersed within the polymeric material composition. In preferred embodiments, the polymeric material composition is an acrylic latex sealant such as that in the form of a caulk and the one or more lipolytic enzymes comprises a lipase such as, preferably, a triacylglycerol lipase. Advantageously, the one or more lipolytic enzymes of such sealants and caulks degrades lipid-containing contaminants and resulting lipid-containing stains that contain lipids. The degradation is a result of the ability of a lipolytic enzyme to catalyze a reaction on a lipid-containing substance (i.e., a substrate) to hydrolyze or move (e.g., intra-esterification) ester bonds of such lipid-containing substance. This lipid-degradation functionality at least partially inhibits the growth of such mold and mildew resulting from exposure to lipid-containing contaminants.

  • Publication number: 20240064163
Abstract: Exemplary systems and methods are directed to risk-based observability of a platform. Data is received from plural devices from one or more computing environments on a network. The received data is in a raw data format according to the computing environment or platform from which it was received. The received data is converted from the raw format to a structured format. The converted data is enhanced by adding contextual information associated with a corresponding one of the plural devices. A risk analysis is performed on the enhanced data based on one or more risk detection rules applied to the network. One or more tags are applied to the enhanced data based on results of the risk analysis. Data analysis is performed on the enhanced data to identify devices from aggregate sources. The data is sent to one or more destinations on the network based on the applied tags.
