  • Patent number: 10461607
Abstract: A system for liquid cooling for a motor for a pump is provided. The system includes a motor configured to be coupled to a pump to move a liquid from an inlet side of the pump associated with a first pressure to an outlet side of the pump associated with a second pressure that is greater than the first pressure. The system additionally includes a heat transfer tube adjacent to at least a portion of the motor. The heat transfer tube is configured to receive at least a portion of the liquid from the outlet side of the pump and transfer heat away from said motor using the liquid.

Date of Patent: October 29, 2019
    Assignee: Regal Beloit America, Inc.
Inventors: Stephen Thomas English, Marc C. McKinzie, Steven Michael Kruzel
  • Patent number: 9856869
Abstract: A pump motor controller for determining the speeds and run times of a pump motor for use in a pool is provided. The controller is adapted to receive data in the form of at least one of water parameters and outdoor parameters. The controller is further adapted to receive to receive data in the form of desired pool or spa set points. The controller is further adapted to determine the speeds and run times of a pump motor for use in a pool based at least in part on data in the form of at least one of water parameters and outdoor parameters and data in the form of desired pool set points.
