Patent number: 10830560Abstract: A firearm sight assembly comprises a rear base. The firearm sight assembly comprises a rear sight element movable with respect to the rear base between a lowered condition and an elevated condition. The rear sight element has a first pair of upwardly projecting first rear posts defining a first notch therebetween when in the lowered condition. The rear sight element has a second pair of upwardly projecting second rear posts defining a second notch therebetween when in the elevated condition. The first rear posts extend to a first height above the rear base, and the second rear posts extend to a second height above the rear base. The second height is greater than the first height.Type: GrantFiled: December 19, 2018Date of Patent: November 10, 2020Assignee: KNS PRECISION, INC.Inventors: Thomas Clauis Barnett, Christian Kager Welch, Daniel Earl Fisher, Nicholas Adam Rode, Todd Alan Magee, Steven Michael Pappas

Publication number: 20150377577Abstract: A prong-type harmonically de-tuned flash suppressor that is usable with a sound suppressor. As a consequence of its harmonic de-tuning, the flash suppressor does not produce an audible ping when the firearm to which it is attached is discharged, due to harmonic variance among the prongs of the flash suppressor. Harmonic variance, or de-tuning, of the flash suppressor is accomplished by varying centers of gravity of the prongs such that each prong of the flash suppressor has a different fundamental harmonic than each other prong. This harmonic de-tuning of the flash suppressor is accomplished while maintaining each prong at an equal length to each other prong, and while maintaining the general exterior appearance of each prong as being about the same as the general exterior appearance of each other prong. Centers of gravities of the prongs, and thus fundamental harmonics of the prongs, may be varied by placing payloads within the prongs which serve as harmonic dampers.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 30, 2014Publication date: December 31, 2015Inventors: Steven Michael Pappas, Joshua Dan MacMurray

Patent number: 8950546Abstract: A suppressor for a firearm is provided, wherein the suppressor can be selectively oriented relative to the firearm. The suppressor has an elongate body, a piston assembly and a cam assembly. A piston of the piston assembly can be fixedly attached to the barrel of a firearm. An indexing ring is radially fixed relative to the piston. The cam lever is selectively movable between a second position, in which the indexing ring is fixed relative to the elongate body, and a first position, in which the indexing ring can rotate relative to the elongate body.Type: GrantFiled: May 10, 2013Date of Patent: February 10, 2015Assignee: Silencerco, LLCInventors: Jonathon Shults, Steven Michael Pappas, Harrison Holden

Patent number: 7856914Abstract: A device for suppressing noise from a firearm. In one aspect, the suppressor has an elongate body that defines a bullet pathway extending longitudinally therethrough. The elongate body may define a plurality of adjacent chambers spaced along its longitudinal axis. The suppressor may also have at least two elongate body shells configured to selectively substantially envelop the elongate body and substantially enclose each of the adjacent chambers. The body shells of the suppressor are designed to be easily removed to clean the chambers of the suppressor.Type: GrantFiled: November 26, 2008Date of Patent: December 28, 2010Assignee: Silencerco, LLCInventors: Jonathon Shults, Steven Michael Pappas
