Abstract: Disclosed is a compact, convenient carrier system for weight plates. The carrier system includes a strap, a carrying handle, and rigid loading bar. Preferably, the loading bar is a tubular member. Preferably, the carrying handle has an outer diameter that permits the carrying handle to be slidably disposed within the inner diameter of the loading bar. Preferably, the loading bar has an outer diameter that permits the loading bar to fit within the central opening on a standard Olympic weightlifting weight plate. The carrier system optionally provides a clip closure attached to the strap that allows easy opening and closing of the system.
