  • Publication number: 20150019370
Abstract: A system and methods related customized storybooks and related methods are disclosed. A method can include presenting a list of stories to a plurality of artists, providing the plurality of artists with at least one common design parameter, providing each artist with instructions to submit a version of his/her story, and executing a license agreement with each artist submitting a story version. The method can further include providing a mechanism for each artist submitting a story version to submit and receive feedback. Another method can include allowing a customer to select more than one story from a catalog, allowing the customer to select the order of the more than one story within a single storybook, and allowing the customer to select at least one language for each story selected. The methods may further include allowing the customer to provide variable text information for at least one story selected and/or allowing the customer to customize a cover page or a dedication page of the storybook.

  • Patent number: 7414805
Abstract: A method for adding intelligence into the tape drive subsystems of a media storage library. The present invention improves overall system availability by enhancing existing control, monitoring, and diagnostic functionalities. As a result of inserting intelligence into the drive trays, certain control and monitoring functions traditionally performed by the main library controller may be performed locally at the drive trays. Since certain functions are performed locally at the drive trays, fewer connections are required between the tape drive trays and the main library controller. Also, the main library controller's performance is not degraded as the number of tape drives increases. The present invention also provides flexibility to the storage system since new features and functions may be added to the drive tray subsystem without the need to modify the base library cabling infrastructure.

  • Publication number: 20080040963
Abstract: A clipping display device for use on hats, comprising a base and a clip for suspending the device along the brim of a hat. The device further comprises a top or billboard element attached to the base for displaying advertisement, logos, messages and other visual indicia. A neck element may be provided to connect the billboard element to said base. A front panel provided at a front end of the base balances the device and may also incorporate visual indicia. The device may optionally include interlocking elements for stringing multiple clips for forming a larger or more extensive message.

  • Publication number: 20070234611
Abstract: The present invention relates generally to devices and methods for the display of artwork, and particularly, but not by way of limitation, to a method for giving a video image an apparent three-dimensional character by causing an observer to view a series of color decompositions of the intended video image.

  • Patent number: 6732010
Abstract: A system, method, and product are disclosed for associating subcomponents with a storage library. A unique identifier is stored in a particular storage library. Each subcomponent that is a part of the particular storage library is then associated with the particular storage library by storing a copy of the unique identifier within each subcomponent. In order for a subcomponent to be usable by a particular storage library, the particular storage library's unique identifier must be stored within the subcomponent.

  • Patent number: 6636779
Abstract: The present invention provides two redundant tape library controllers that mirror each other's function. A secondary controller can immediately take over from the primary controller if the primary unit fails or if a redundant path leading to the primary controller fails.
