  • Publication number: 20030154604
Abstract: A process of cutting monofilament line using a cutting tool including a tool body having a cavity for insertion of a bent portion of the monofilament line. A cutting blade is provided in the cavity and a pair of opposing walls in the cavity are located generally parallel to and on either side of the cutting blade. For cutting, the monofilament line is bent into a U-shape portion which is inserted into the cavity with the legs of the U-shape portion adjacent the respective opposing walls, thereby placing the outer exterior surface of the monofilament line at the bottom of the U-shape portion in tension and the inner exterior surface of the bottom of the U-shape portion in compression. As the U-shaped portion is inserted into the cavity, the outer exterior surface at the bottom of the U-shape portion is placed against the cutting blade thereby cutting the monofilament line.

  • Publication number: 20030010734
Abstract: A chain saw holder for supporting and selectively locking a chain saw to a vehicle such as a trailer, truck, van, etc. The holder includes a cutter bar retaining portion for frictionally engaging the chain saw cutter bar and a handle retaining portion for selectively receiving and capturing the chain saw elongate front handle. A stop member is selectively moveable along an elongate arm for selective placement over the U-shaped section and capturing the chain saw handle.

  • Patent number: 6409029
Abstract: A trimmer rack for selectively supporting grass trimmers on a trailer. The trimmer rack includes two support members. Bracket members are attached to one of the support members so as to retain and support one end of the trimmers. Trimmer rack mechanisms are provided on the other support member for selectively supporting and lockingly retaining the other end of the trimmers. The trimmer rack mechanisms include a hook member attached to the support member and a pivot arm selectively pivotable thereover between closed and open positions. A lock mechanism is provided for selectively locking the pivot arm in its closed position. An abutment wall is selectively attached to the hook member and is adjustable for increasing and decreasing the trimmer retaining area.

  • Patent number: 6302280
Abstract: A blower holder for supporting and storing backpack type blowers on trailers and other vehicles. A shelf is mounted on a support post whereon the blower may rest. A bracket is attached to the post vertically above the shelf and includes hook members at opposing ends. The blower frame or back rest plate sides are selectively received in the hook members thereby sandwiching the blower frame or back rest plate between the hook members. One of the hook members is selectively movable against the blower side and may selectively be affixed along the bracket for sandwiching and retaining the frame or blower back rest plate. A loop is attached to an adjacent post and is adapted to receive and support the blower air pipe.

  • Patent number: 5697623
Abstract: An apparatus in combination with or attachable to a self-propelled vehicle such as a lawn mower for transporting the operator therebehind. The apparatus includes a first arm pivotally connected to the lawn mower and adapted to pivot about a first generally horizontally disposed axis of rotation. A support platform is pivotally connected to the other end of the arm about a second axis of rotation which is also horizontally disposed and which is parallel to the first axis of rotation. A spring member is provided and biases the first arm upwardly for placing the apparatus in a retracted storage position. The apparatus is selectively placeable in an extended in use position during which the operator stands on the support platform and rides behind the self-propelled lawn mower. The support platform includes a sliding plate for sliding on the ground and reducing frictional forces when the operator is standing on the support platform.

Abstract: An apparatus in combination with or attachable to a self-propelled vehicle such as a lawn mower for transporting the operator therebehind. The apparatus includes a first arm pivotally connected to the lawn mower, a second arm pivotally connected to the first arm and a support platform pivotally connected to the second arm. The apparatus is spring loaded for biasing the first and second arms and the support platform in a retracted storage position during which the operator can walk behind the lawn mower. The apparatus is selectively extendable to an in use ride behind position during which the operator may stand on the support platform and ride behind the self-propelled lawn mower. The support platform includes a sliding plate for sliding on the ground and reducing frictional forces when the operator is standing on the support platform.
