Abstract: PVC compositions disclosed herein comprise PVC resin, a co-precipitated rare earth additive, and an inorganic flame retardant. These PVC compositions demonstrate an improved flame retardance and have UL94 classification with a sample thickness of about 0.8 mm of V-2 or higher. The co-precipitated rare earth additive contains a rare earth and one or more of zinc, aluminum, and magnesium, wherein the co-precipitated rare earth additive contains about 5 to about 95% by weight rare earth measured on an oxide basis. The inorganic flame retardant can be ATO, MDH, ATH, or mixtures thereof. The co-precipitated rare earth additive provides improved properties in comparison to an identical PVC composition containing the components of the co-precipitated additive but added to the PVC composition as a blend of these components rather than a co-precipitant.

  • Patent number: 11978095
Abstract: In a method of determining and sharing proximity of device users within an environment of an observation platform, the observation platform determines that a first communication device associated with a first user is in the environment of the observation platform. The observation platform detects that the first communication device is in proximity to a second communication device associated with a second user. Responsive to the detection, the observation platform generates proximity information for the first user and the second user. The observation platform relays the proximity information to a second observation platform via a computer network, wherein a second environment of the second observation platform is separate from the environment of the observation platform.

  • Patent number: 11977610
Abstract: Described herein are systems and methods for providing software provisioning of functionality in a wireless communications device. Software-enabling functionality may include systems for granting a license to intellectual property or other pre-embedded functionality within a device. Communications to and from the device may be used to send or receive activation messages and/or licensing messages. Network capabilities may be provisioned using activation messages sent over the network. Activation messages may be sent in-band or out-of-band, for a device connected to the Internet and/or a mobile operator core network. Licenses may be required for any functions or intellectual property present on a given device. Activation may enable logical modules of a system-on-chip (SOC), functions of a software-defined radio (SDR), baseband, or DSP core. The disclosed systems and methods could thereby provide a new, flexible paradigm, namely, “Silicon as a Service (SaaS).

  • Publication number: 20240144152
Abstract: In a method of identifying a metric associated with a business, a computer system associated with the business, recognizes a first user associated with a first communication device and a second user associated with a second communication device, where the first user is recognized as a customer of the business and the second user is recognized as an employee of the business. The computer system observes a communication between the first communication device and the second communication device, where at least a portion of the communication is an audible communication. The computer system identifies the metric based on the communication between the employee and the customer. The computer system makes the metric available for decision making purposes.

  • Publication number: 20240131295
Abstract: A device (102) provides respiratory treatment for SDB (including mild OSA) and other respiratory conditions. A flow generator warms and humidifies gas at controlled flow levels. For example, the device (102) delivers breathable gas to the upper airway at flow rates of about 10-35 Liters/minute. Levels of flow rate, temperature and/or humidification of the device may be automatically adjusted in response to the detection of SDB events. The device may also automatically deliver adjustments of any of the levels in accordance with detected phases of respiratory cycles. In some embodiments, the device automatically delivers distinct levels to either of the nares based on independent control of flow to each nare. A warm-up procedure controls temperature and humidity at a desired target during a ramp-up of flow to the set therapy level. A cool-down procedure controls temperature above the dewpoint to avoid condensation internal to the device and patient interface.

  • Publication number: 20240127482
Abstract: A method includes determining, during a calibration phase without application of ultrasound waves, a per-pixel magnetic field gradient of a magnetic field that is generated using a calibration drive signal applied to a magnetic coil; generating, during a treatment phase, a magnetic field gradient that is applied to a treatment area by using a treatment drive signal applied to the magnetic coil, wherein treatment drive signal is different from the calibration drive signal; determining, based on the treatment drive signal applied to the magnetic coil, per-pixel phases of a treatment image of the treatment area, wherein the per-pixel phases of the treatment image are based on spin displacement at each pixel resulting from the applied ultrasound waves; and adjusting, for each pixel of the treatment image, the per-pixel phases of the treatment image based on the per-pixel magnetic field gradient for a corresponding pixel, to obtain a gradient-adjusted treatment image.
