  • Patent number: 11931663
Abstract: An automated damping system including a damping device arranged and disposed to provide variable resistance to a load. The variable resistance provides resistance values corresponding to a displacement position of the damping device. The system includes a damping profile generator that calculates a damping profile and a sensor is arranged and disposed to measure one or more damping affecting properties. The sensor provides the one or more damping affecting properties to the damping profile generator. The damping profile provides the variable resistance based upon the one or more damping affecting properties of the load.

  • Publication number: 20210401061
Abstract: Vape devices and methods of operating the same to prevent unauthorized use, allow for remote, centralized storage of operational settings associated with unique payload identifiers, and to optimize operation based on historical usage data, real-time operating conditions, and/or user information. Vape devices for vaporizing dry material and methods of operating the same. Tablets comprising dry material for vaporization and methods of making and using the same. Vape devices and cartridges to improve flow of a fluid payload to an atomizer and to prevent leaking and spurting of the fluid payload, including vape devices and cartridges that pressurize the fluid payload. Vapor measurement systems to determine dosage based on a measured capacitance of vaporized payload. A two-lead communication system that enables the communication of a plurality of electrical signals between a control assembly and cartridge. A cartridge temperature control system that provides localized temperature control for the cartridge.

  • Publication number: 20210382974
Abstract: A vape device system including a payload reservoir that is identified by a payload identifier and that is configured to hold a substance for atomization. A processor is configured to determine an operational setting based on at least one of the payload identifier and a secondary data, which may include user information, prescription information, location information, payload information, historical vape device usage information, and historical payload reservoir information. A vape device system, and method of using the same, that includes a vape device and a computing device that includes the processor. A method of controlling a vape device including determining an operational setting of the vape device based on the payload identifier and/or secondary data. The operational settings may include a duty cycle setting, a temperature setting, an operational time duration, a dosage setting, and a security setting.

  • Publication number: 20200281278
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a vape device configured to determine the dose of a payload delivered to a user during each of a plurality of user inhalations. In a first embodiment, the vape device tracks the energy used to vaporize a portion of the payload during user inhalation to determine the dose. In a second embodiment, the vape device measures the temperature at multiple locations within the air flow chamber during user inhalation to determine the dose. In a third embodiment, the vape device measures the intensity of light that is transmitted through the vaporized payload, reflected off the vaporized payload, or transmitted through a light transmitting medium positioned within the vaporized payload, during user inhalation to determine the dose.

  • Publication number: 20200128882
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a system for tracking and reducing consumption of a substance by a user. The system comprises a vape device comprising a payload reservoir configured to contain a payload to be vaporized, wherein the payload includes the substance, and an atomizer configured to vaporize a portion of the payload during each of a plurality of user inhalations. The system also comprises a software application executable on the computing device, wherein the software application causes the computing device to determine a dosage schedule that causes a reduction in consumption of the substance over a period of time, and control operation of the vape device in accordance with the dosage schedule during a substance reduction period.
