Publication number: 20160178213Abstract: The invention relates to a gas cook top assembly that is capable of operating in off-grid applications where no electricity is available and that is also adaptable to operating in on-grid applications. The cook top is provided with a first control loop with a battery pack for powering the control valves for releasing gas to the gas burners and a spark ignition module for generating a spark to ignite the corresponding gas burner in an off-grid application. The cook top is also provided with second control loop for delivering power from an on-grid AC power source to the control valves and spark ignition module. The second control loop may operate independently of the first control loop or may be connected in parallel with the first control loop, the second control loop receiving AC power through an AC-to-DC converter.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 23, 2014Publication date: June 23, 2016Inventors: STEVEN PETERSEN, PAUL PETERSEN, MICHAEL SCOTT, TIM DEAN, KYLE MAYNARD, RYAN BROOKS, CHRIS DUKE, CARL SUCHOVSKY

Publication number: 20140373568Abstract: A direct venting system for a free-standing propane powered refrigerator is disclosed. The direct venting system pre-installed on the refrigerator, the system having an air intake for drawing air from outside and directing the air to a burner box for combustion of the propane gas flame that runs the refrigerator, and an exhaust outlet for venting all of the flue gases or products of combustion out of the system with the system being hermetically sealed with respect to an interior environment within which the refrigerator is installed. The fresh air is directed to a burner box by means of a specially designed air inlet adapter that includes a step-down feature that reduces the likelihood of blow-out of the gas flame. The flue gases are directed through an offset chimney structure and a three-layered exhaust outlet that reduces the formation of condensate thereby protecting the system from blow-out and corrosion.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 25, 2013Publication date: December 25, 2014Inventors: Tim Dean, Ryan Brooks, Mike Scott, Paul Petersen, Kyle Maynard, Steven Petersen, David Stainrod

Publication number: 20070261053Abstract: Methods and system for sharing a hardware resource in a computer system running at least one software process having multiple threads. A lock_indicator is provided in data structures within the computer system. A request is received to use the hardware resource by one of the threads that is defined to be a requesting tread. Based on the lock_indicator, it is determined whether the hardware resource is available for use by the requesting thread. If this indicates that the hardware resource is available, the lock_indicator is set under control of the hardware resource to instead indicate that the hardware resource is unavailable, and a go_indicator signals to indicate that use of the hardware resource for the request can now proceed.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 6, 2006Publication date: November 8, 2007Applicant: Portal Player, Inc.Inventors: Gokhan Avkarogullari, Steven Petersen

Publication number: 20060195744Abstract: A virtual tester that simulates automatic test equipment (ATE). A translator converts program code of the ATE to pattern information and timing information. The virtual tester tests a software representation of a circuit, based on the program code of the ATE. The virtual tester uses the pattern information and/or the timing information to test the software representation of the circuit.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 10, 2005Publication date: August 31, 2006Applicant: Broadcom CorporationInventor: Steven Petersen

Publication number: 20060172117Abstract: A glare reducing film is provided for application to the screen of a television, computer and the like to reduce or eliminate glare from the screen caused by external sources such as windows and room lighting. The film comprises a thin film of clear flexible plastic material such as polyvinyl chloride having a matted front surface and a smooth back surface. The film is perforated to permit the passage of air through the film between the front surface and the back surface. The back surface is covered by a removable backing which is slit diagonally from corner to corner. The film may be formed in a convex shape corresponding to the general shape of the screen to be covered. To apply the film, the screen is cleaned of all dust and other foreign particles and wetted with a moistening agent such as water or glass cleaner. The central corners of the backing portions are peeled away from the back surface of the film to expose a small area in the center of the back surface.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 31, 2005Publication date: August 3, 2006Inventor: Steven Petersen
