The seat comprises: a seat frame (4); a seat (10) supported for movement relative to the seat frame between a lowered position and a raised position; and a movement mechanism for moving the seat between the lowered and the raised positions. The movement mechanism comprises at least one cam (104) and the seat rests on the at least one cam such that rotation of the at least one cam results in movement of the seat relative to the seat frame.

Abstract: A linear actuator includes a leadscrew and a drive rod threadingly engaged with the leadscrew to permit longitudinal movement of the drive rod along its axis as the leadscrew rotates. A sheath is provided around the drive rod. A gear column is arranged generally coaxially with the axis of the leadscrew, the gear column including a gear through which drive can be applied to rotate the gear column. The gear column is connected to the leadscrew such that rotation of the gear column causes rotation of the leadscrew with respect to the drive rod to cause the drive rod to extend and/or retract.

The arrangement comprises a housing (2) to be secured to the roll (5), a hollow shaft (8) mounted for rotational movement within the housing (2) and a cooling medium line to convey cooling medium into the roll (5) via the interior of the shaft(8). The cooling medium line comprising an inlet communicating with an elbow portion, a first length (27) of the elbow portion (20) extending from the inlet substantially perpendicular to the axis of the shaft and a second length (26) of the elbow portion extending from the first length in the direction of the axis of the shaft (8), the axes of the first and second lengths being in substantially the same plane.
