  • Publication number: 20240267676
Abstract: A device which is configured to receive a signal from a mobile device, pass that signal through to an automobile head unit, filter out and decode some audio-related information from the signal the device receives from the mobile device, and pass that audio-related information to a portable speaker. Preferably, a delay is calculated and added, either by the device or by the portable speaker, such that audio that emits from the portable speaker is synchronized with audio that emits from the head unit.

  • Publication number: 20240241081
Abstract: Systems and methods for determining a concentration of a substance in a sample. In one embodiment, the system uses a device that cooperates with a container containing a sample mixed with a solution. The mixture comes into contact with a sensor that has been activated by the device, thereby allowing data signals to be received by the device through electrodes that are coupled to the sensor. The data signals are then analyzed and, based on the characteristics of the signal, a concentration of the substance can be estimated. After a single use, the container is sealed and can be disposed of properly to avoid further contact with the solution or the sample. In some embodiments, a solid sample is first processed in a second container before being mixed with the solution.

  • Publication number: 20230373571
Abstract: A chassis for an electric vehicle driveable on a driving surface, the electric vehicle comprising a cab portion and a cargo-carrying portion. The chassis comprises: a front chassis portion configured to support a cab portion and defining a first seat mounting surface for supporting a seat for a driver; a rear chassis portion configured to support a cargo-carrying portion, the rear chassis portion comprising a principal plane; and an intermediate chassis portion coupling the front chassis portion and the rear chassis portion. The intermediate chassis portion forms a transition between the front chassis portion and the rear chassis portion and is configured so that the first seat mounting surface for supporting a seat for a driver is positionable closer than the principal plane of the rear chassis portion to a driving surface. An electric vehicle comprising the chassis is also provided.

  • Patent number: 11483785
Abstract: A portable speaker, such as a subwoofer, that is configured to pair via Bluetooth from any device capable of streaming Bluetooth audio and act as the “sink.” The portable speaker is also configured to pair via Bluetooth to other audio equipment capable of streaming Bluetooth audio and act as the “source.” The portable speaker is also preferably configured to synchronize the audio signal going to the portable speaker and the other unit playing music, such that the user will not hear delays between the two units playing the audio stream. Preferably, the portable speaker is configured to be portable in which the size and weight is small enough for a person to carry, and is portable in which it operates with rechargeable batteries inside the unit, thus not needing any other power source such as AC outlet, or automobile power system. Another embodiment omits the speaker and instead provides a line out for connection to an external speaker, such as a subwoofer.

  • Publication number: 20170236244
Abstract: A graphics processing system comprises a pair of graphics processing units that are connected to each other via communications bridges that can allow communication between the connected graphics processing units. One of the graphics processing units is operable to act as a master graphics processing unit controlling graphics processing operations on the other graphics processing unit which is operable as a slave graphics processing unit to perform graphics processing operations under the control of the master graphics processing unit. Each graphics processing unit of the pair of graphics processing units is also capable of operating in a standalone mode, in which the graphics processing unit operates independently of the other graphics processing unit to perform a graphics processing task.

  • Publication number: 20160250432
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments of the present invention disclose a multi-camera intubation device for video-guided intubation. Video-guided intubation enhances the safety and success of intubation in medical practice by allowing practitioners to observe obstructions during intubation techniques, such as oropharygolaryngoscopy. A first camera supports visualization of the glottis while minimizing neck hyperextension and patient stimulation; a second camera vastly decreases the incidence of injury to the soft palate, palatopharyngeal arch, palatoglossal arch, and tonsil during passage of a rigid tube, such as a styleted endotracheal tube (ETT). This second camera would provide a real-time view of a patient's internal structures, for example, pharyngeal inlet, and thereby guide a safe, atraumatic intubation.

  • Patent number: 5467350
Abstract: An apparatus and method for transmitting X.25 communications over the D-channel of an ISDN link. This is achieved by terminal adapters connected between an X.25 terminal and an ISDN connection which contain converters to convert X.25 LAPB frames into LAPD frames and vice versa. The conversion process involves directly copying fields from the incoming LAPB frame into a LAPD frame with the minimum amount of verification. Essentially the only checking performed is to examine the number of octets in each field of the incoming frame to ensure that the conversion process itself does not fall down.
