A light source is disposed on the sight and projects toward the user in a direction opposite the point of aim. An image sensor is disposed on the sight and is configured to capture image data of an object. The image sensor is configured to identify the user of said firearm. A controller is in communication with the image sensor and is configured to allow operation of said firearm based on the captured image data.
