    Abstract: A top or bottom mounted, in-line, in-tank return line filter element is mounted in a hydraulic reservoir. The reservoir includes a holding tank, at least one outlet extending from and one return line extending to the reservoir, an in-tank return line within the reservoir and extending to one return line, and an in-tank return line filter element mounted within the in-tank return line. The in-tank return line filter element includes an end cap, a filter media and a by-pass valve coupled thereto. The end cap includes a central fluid opening, a mounting surface for the filter media, and a peripheral attaching mechanism for attaching the filter element to the in-tank return line to form a filter assembly. The mounting surface is positioned between the central opening and the attaching mechanism such that an in-line, in-tank filter element is provided.

    Abstract: A portable, controllable fluid filtration flushing system with automated feedback, remote access, and documented operation is designed for hydraulic fluid or the like and has a base mounted on wheels for transporting the system. A filtration system mounted on the base is connectable to the hydraulic fluid system of the machine to be flushed. Feedback sensors mounted on the base, such as a particulate sensor or particle counter, are coupled to the filtration system. A programmable logic controller (PLC) is mounted on the base to control and document the operation of the flushing system. An operator input mechanism, such as a touch screen or keypad, may be on the base. The PLC is remotely accessible by an operator such as through the Internet, hardwire connection, RF connection, or the like.

    Abstract: A hydraulic filter includes a canister extending along the longitudinal axis. A closed end cap is at one end of the canister for closing one end thereof. A removable filter element is contained within the canister and a modular one-piece input end cap is at an end of the canister. The one-piece input end cap includes a hydraulic input chamber and a hydraulic output chamber which can be positioned in any one of three mutually perpendicular directions. The one-piece input end cap also allows for sensors to be positioned in any one of three mutually perpendicular directions. In addition, the one-piece input end cap can be utilized in base-ported or top-ported configurations while also allowing for side-to-side or side-to-end configurations.
