  • Publication number: 20130249256
Abstract: A chair, such as, e.g., an easy chair or, a recliner, may include a compartment, a tray, or both. The compartment may have an open position and a closed position and may include a panel configured for a specific purpose. For example, the panel may include a cup holder, a storage slot, and an outlet. The outlet may include a power outlet, a USB port, an ethernet port, or the like. The tray may rotate about a shaft and/or an arm of the chair so that does not pose a nuisance to a user of the chair. The tray may include a mechanism to slide the tray between a first position and a second position.

  • Patent number: 5654766
Abstract: Television tuning systems and methods employing use of ghost cancellation and antenna directionality control to produce a ghost-free television signal. The invention employs use of a antenna whose directionality can be changed to change reception quality of a received television signal, and a baseband ghost cancellation unit which can perform baseband ghost cancellation. In a first embodiment of the invention, the directionality of the antenna is changed so that a television signal of sufficient reception quality is received from which a ghost-free television signal can be produced therefrom by the baseband ghost cancellation unit. A second embodiment of the invention further employs use of a tuner, and involves controlling the directionality of the antenna and the tuning frequency of the tuner so that a tuned television signal is produced which is properly tuned and of sufficient quality that a properly tuned ghost-free television signal can be produced therefrom by the baseband ghost cancellation unit.

  • Patent number: 3995109
Abstract: A vertical synchronizing signal for a CRT display is separated from a composite sync signal by combining in a NAND gate the composite signal and the output of a monostable multivibrator having a pulse width greater than the horizontal sync pulse width. When the vertical sync signal is not sufficiently high to trigger the sweep circuit, a sync signal sensor will allow an oscillator to free-run at a frequency very near the field rate. Vertical sync pulses of sufficiently high level are gated through the free-running oscillator, without oscillation, to the vertical sweep circuit where they are used to trigger a monostable multivibrator. The vertical hold control can be eliminated without endangering the CRT screen.
