  • Publication number: 20230360461
Abstract: Implementations described and claimed herein provide systems and methods for till management. In one implementation, a recycling of notes is triggered using a recycler controller. The notes are recycled using a cash recycler, and the notes corresponding to a till. A coin value of plurality of coins corresponding to the till is recorded using the recycler controller. The coin value is determined by capturing a weight of a set of coins of the plurality of coins corresponding to a designated coin denomination. The weight of the set of coins is captured using a coin scale. The till is validated based on the coin value and the recycling of the notes.

  • Publication number: 20230175309
Abstract: Implementations described and claimed herein provide systems and methods for securely transferring a locked container from a primary vault to a secondary vault. In one implementation, a triggering event corresponding to a transfer of a first locked container from the primary vault to the secondary vault is detected. The first locked container is detected in the primary vault, and a second locked container is detected in the secondary vault. A transfer time for the transfer is determined based on when the second locked container is detected in the secondary vault. The transfer is validated as a compliant transfer when the second locked container is identified as the first locked container and the transfer time is within a time tolerance band.

  • Publication number: 20210335141
Abstract: Implementations described and claimed herein provide systems and methods for improving cash management system operation. In one implementation, a method for improving cash management system operation includes detecting an intervention event in connection with user activity of a user involving a cash management system. The method determines whether the intervention event meets an intervention threshold. A customized intervention particular to the intervention event and a the user is generated when the intervention event meets the intervention threshold. The customized intervention is output for presentation to the user. The customized intervention improves the user activity involving the cash management system.

  • Patent number: 7917977
Abstract: A system and method for providing a storage area within a box spring is disclosed. The system uses a storage box having a storage compartment and a locking door that provides access to the storage compartment. Attached to the storage box is a base plate that is attached to the storage compartment, the base plate includes an engagement hook. The box spring includes a stringer, and is used to support a mattress. The engagement hook of the base plate of the storage box engages the stringer of the box spring while the storage box is in use, so that the storage box is retained within the box spring.

  • Publication number: 20080061074
Abstract: A singulating disc, carried by a housing, has a plurality of openings around its periphery. The disc rotates vertically through a pickup chamber of a hopper carried by the housing. A vacuum is pulled through the openings by a pump which is connected to the disc. Items are placed in the hopper and, via gravity, fall to the bottom of the hopper where they contact the periphery of the rotating disc. The vacuum at the openings attaches an item and holds it while the disc rotates. At the top of the discs rotation, a diverter directs the item into a path depending on the results of a fragment detection and/or counting mechanism. Items that are allowed to pass by the diverter are scraped off the disc into another path by a scraper. Negative pressure is used to singulate and count a multitude of sizes and shapes of items with no calibration. Retractable paddles, a vacuum management system, and RFID tags may be incorporated.

  • Publication number: 20070208454
Abstract: An adaptive interface is provided that is capable of brokering requests from a diverse set of customer host systems to a diverse set of backend servers (or backend device or backend automation system) controlling product dispensing devices and/or systems. The interface may be fully configurable and extensible (i.e., there is a lot of control over the behavior, and the interface can support future features without requiring code changes). Two areas of extensibility of the interface may be adapting to new message formats from the same or new host systems, and supporting new backend services.

  • Publication number: 20060157492
Abstract: A method of dispensing medicaments may employ a drug dispensing device comprised of an upper hopper having an upper opening for receiving a medicament and a lower opening. The drug dispensing device also includes a lower hopper having an upper opening and a lower opening in a bottom portion thereof. The upper hopper defines a bulk storage chamber and the lower hopper defines a dispensing chamber. A rotatable dispensing disc is positioned in a lower portion of the dispensing chamber for dispensing medicament from the drug dispensing device through the lower opening in the lower hopper. A regulator is situated between the bulk storage chamber and the dispensing chamber for controlling the rate at which medicament moves from the storage chamber to the dispensing chamber.

  • Patent number: 6508200
Abstract: A pet bed that includes an enclosure having a perimeter wall and a floor, and a cushion. The cushion includes a pliable external shell that holds several helical springs, each helical spring being individually covered in a flexible bag. The shell and springs are in turn held within a pliable casing, so that the cushion nests within the perimeter wall, so that the cushion provides variable support to a pet on the cushion by allowing the individually covered springs to flex independently of one another.

  • Patent number: 4574990
Abstract: A device which serves as a carrier for a folding stool and as a compartmented bag for holding articles. A flexible fabric body has opposite sides which cover leaves on opposite sides which cover leaves on opposite sides of the folded stool, and a top connecting strip which interconnects the sides of the folded stool, and a top connecting strip which interconnects the sides and covers the top edge of the stool. Snap fasteners on the lower edges of the sides can be connected beneath the leaves to secure the carrier on the stool. The carrier and stool can be carried by a handle, or by a strap which can be connected to serve as a shoulder strap, or by strapping the carrier and stool on the back in the manner of a backpack. Compartments on the opposite sides of the fabric body can hold various objects and can be closed by zipper fasteners. A smaller pocket is formed on one of the sides, and the other side has an adjustable sleeve for holding umbrellas and other long articles.
