  • Patent number: 9370269
Abstract: A pillow that includes two sheets of flexible material, joined together to define a space and that is inflatable to provide a cushioned support. The pillow has a head zone that provides cushioning for a user's head and two wings that are configured to extend away from the head zone such that the pillow is substantially U-shaped in the plane of the pillow, when deflated. A channel extends between the sheets of flexible material to connect the wings. The channel is positioned at a point in the head zone furthermost from the wing ends. The width of the channel increases from the center line such that when the pillow is inflated, the pillow has a substantially V-shaped profile that is formed about the centerline and centered on the channel.

  • Publication number: 20160105139
Abstract: A method and apparatus for operating an electric motor is presented. A transmit magnetic field is received at a group of receive coils having a group of axes oriented substantially parallel to magnetic field lines from a transmit coil and having a group of resonant frequencies. A resonant frequency in the group of resonant frequencies is different from other receive coils in the group of receive coils. A receive magnetic field is generated at a receive coil in the group of receive coils having the resonant frequency when the transmit magnetic field has a selected frequency matching the resonant frequency. The receive magnetic field attracts a rotor in the electric motor.

  • Publication number: 20160093080
Abstract: Input data may define an approach, model or theme for presenting text in a two-dimensional or a three-dimensional display environment. The input data may be analyzed to determine a legibility score of the text. The legibility score may be based on a number of factors including the characteristics of the text, characteristics of the environment, an aggregate contrast ratio derived from aggregate luminance values, a relative importance of legibility, other contextual information and/or combinations thereof. If the legibility score does not meet at least one threshold, one or more treatments may be applied to the input data. For example, a treatment may involve a modification of the text size, font, text position, text color and/or modifications to the display environment, to improve the legibility of the text and/or the overall aesthetics of the display environment and the text.
