  • Patent number: 12059113
Abstract: A dishwasher is provided having a diverter assembly. The diverter assembly may include a diverter disk moveable between an upper and a lower position. The diverter disk may include a diverter head defining an opening and a radial center, and a disk boss attached to the diverter head at a radial center of the diverter head. The disk boss may define a disk channel extending below the diverter head. The diverter disk may further include an upper spring guide extending below the disk boss and located within the disk channel, a return spring extending below the upper spring guide within the disk channel, and a lower spring guide extending through the return spring. The return spring may have a top end attached to the upper spring guide and a bottom end attached to the lower spring guide.

  • Patent number: 12053135
Abstract: A method of assembling a dishwashing appliance includes selecting one fan cover from a plurality of fan covers. Each fan cover of the plurality of fan covers is configured to be removably mounted in a vent conduit. The plurality of fan covers are each interchangeable with every other fan cover of the plurality of fan covers. The method also includes mounting the selected fan cover removably in the vent conduit. Such mounting results in the formation of a flow path for air from an ambient environment outside of the dishwashing appliance through the vent conduit and the fan cover. The flow path for air from the ambient environment is partially defined by a wall of the fan cover.

  • Patent number: 11589729
Abstract: An article holder assembly for use in a dishwasher appliance includes a first attachment arm for securing to a first side wall of a rack of the dishwasher appliance, a second attachment arm for securing to an opposing, second side wall of a rack of the dishwasher appliance, and at least one article positioning arm secured between the first and second attachment arms. The article positioning arm(s) is movable between an engaged position and a disengaged position. Thus, the article positioning arm(s) defines a predefined geometry configured to receive a portion of one or more articles for cleaning in the dishwasher appliance. Further, when the article positioning arm(s) is in the engaged position, the predefined geometry positions and secures one or more of the articles on a rack of the dishwasher appliance for cleaning.

  • Patent number: 10113654
Abstract: A diverter assembly for a dishwashing appliance may generally include a diverter head having a body portion and first and second outlets that form a single unitary component. In addition, the first outlet may be configured to be directly coupled to a first spray-arm assembly of the appliance and the second outlet may be configured to be directly coupled to a conduit in fluid communication with a second spray-arm assembly of the appliance. The diverter assembly may also include a valve housing configured to be coupled to the diverter head. The valve housing may define an inlet in fluid communication with a pump of the appliance and may at least partially house a diverter valve that diverts fluid received via the inlet to the first or second outlet. Moreover, the diverter assembly may be configured to be mounted directly to a bottom wall of a tub of the appliance.

  • Patent number: 8409814
Abstract: The present invention relates to biosensors. In some embodiments, the biosensors are modified ligand binding molecules. In some embodiments, the modified ligand binding molecule is a phosphate binding protein (PBP). In some embodiments, the modified ligand binding molecules are labeled to be capable of RET, e.g., comprising a donor and acceptor moiety. In some embodiments of the invention, there is a detectable change in RET (e.g., FRET) when the modified ligand binding molecule binds and/or releases the ligand (e.g., phosphate). The invention also provides related methods, reactions and assays.
