    Abstract: Disclosed in an article comprising flock fibers adhesively bonded to a thin, heat stable, flexible, water-impermeable, polymeric film. The preferred article is a flocked floor mat with good water and wet soil absorbency and door clearance: a preferred mat comprises short fibers bonded, with a hydrophilic adhesive, to the thin polymeric film which in turn is preferably laminated to a thin foam secondary backing.
