Abstract: An exercise machine with a more natural gait and computer gaming interface which, in some embodiments, further allows for a variable stride length while in use. In one configuration, each side of the exercise machine has a first crank assembly connected at an upper location on a pedal arm and a second crank connected at a middle location on the pedal arm, and a pedal is attached to a lower location of the pedal arm. The first crank assembly is connected to the pedal arm by a crank arm. The second crank assembly is connected to the pedal arm via a crank arm pivotally attached to a crank link. The path of each pedal is determined by the lengths of crank arms and crank links of the first and second crank assemblies rotating in synchronous motion.

Abstract: Bowed spreader apparatus for laterally stretching, or stressing, a web of material carried in a selected direction along a conveyor path includes an elongate stationary spreader bar extending laterally of the path. The spreader bar has a web support face which is convexly curved both about the longitudinal axis of the bar and along the longitudinal axis. The bar includes a formed elongate support body having a degree of flexibility allowing the body to be bent in a bowed configuration. A face surface of the body is formed in a convex curve about the longitudinal axis of the body and a plurality of hardened elements are individually secured to and cover the face surface of the support body. An underlying interchangeable profiling support having a convexly curved upper surface forms the spreader bar into a selected bowed configuration.

Abstract: Skin care compositions and methods are provided for improving the appearance of skin affected by aging, photodamage and/or oxidative stress. Specifically, adhesive materials containing cosmetically active ingredients, e.g., one or more antioxidants such as Vitamins A, C and/or E, or moisturizers are applied in concentrated dry powdered form to target areas including the frownline area of the forehead, the front of the neck, the crows-feet area near the eyes, the upper lip and the nasolabial area using a transdermal patch having an acidity approximating human skin acidity of 5.5, preferably by an appropriate ratio of ascorbic acid and ascorbate salts.
