In some embodiments, one or more mappings are created between a taxonomy view at a node and one or more taxonomies of one or more data sources. The one or more data sources can then be accessed via the taxonomy view. In other embodiments, one or more mappings are created between content from different data sources and content from those data sources are merged using the one or more mappings.

Abstract: A method and system for providing family health history data includes a process for providing family health history data whereby, all, or part of, a family member's health data is obtained from, but not limited to, any of the following sources: the family member and/or agents of the family member; one or more other family members, one or more healthcare providers; one or more healthcare insurance plan providers; one or more healthcare benefit program administrators; one or more financial institutions; and/or any other source of a family member's health data. All, or part of, the family member's health data is then provided to other family members, healthcare providers for family members, state and/or private agencies, and/or any other party as designated by the family member, and on a selective access basis, as designated by the family member, for use as family health history data by the designated parties.

Abstract: A method for obtaining healthcare that includes submitting biometric identification data to a Personal Health History (PHH) account that includes a PHH for a patient, permitting a healthcare provider to obtain the biometric identification data, wherein the healthcare provider accesses the PHH account with the biometric identification data to obtain the PHH, and receiving a treatment for a health condition of the patient, wherein the treatment is administered by the healthcare provider accessing the PHH.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a system that tracks progress on a plan. The system starts by receiving a one or more completed plan templates (which constitute plans) from a set of plan providers. The system then stores the plans in a plan database. Next, the system receives a request for a plan, for which the plan database contains one or more plans that can be used to fulfill the request. The system then provides a user interface (UI) to display the plans that fulfill the request. Next, the system receives a selection signal that selects a plan to fulfill the request. The system then displays the selected plan through the UI, which involves initially displaying projected progress on the plan at one or more intervals on a timeline.

Abstract: Some embodiments of the present invention provide a system that facilitates the selection of a doctor based on an observed experience level with a condition or a procedure. During operation, the system receives from a user a selection criteria for selecting of a doctor. The system also receives from the user a medical profile for the user. Next, the system receives from a third-party a plurality of doctors' profiles. Then, the system ranks the plurality of doctors' profiles into a ranked list based on the selection criteria and conditions within the medical profile. Finally, the system sends the ranked list to the user.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a polling system. The system starts by receiving responses to a poll from one or more poll respondents. The system then uses information in a database to determine the reliability of the responses. Next, the system aggregates the poll responses.

Abstract: A method and system for managing receipts includes a process for managing receipts whereby when a user makes a purchase of a product and/or service, an electronic copy of the data on the purchase receipt is generated. The purchase receipt data is then assigned an identification code unique to the user to create user correlated purchase receipt data. The user correlated purchase receipt data is then transferred to a data storage device where the user correlated purchase receipt data is stored until needed. The user correlated purchase receipt data is then made accessible to the user, and/or an authorized agent for the user, as needed, by accessing the data on the data storage device through a user account.

Abstract: In various embodiments, the present invention provides methods and systems for buying and selling goods and services over a peer-to-peer network. Multiple client devices are connected as peer nodes within a P2P network. Active P2P network nodes register with a server as they come online. The server stores information about the types of goods and services that are available from each registered peer and the routing information needed to contact that peer. A peer acting as a buyer, referred to herein as a buyer, can query the server and receive a list of peers with offerings of a desired type along with the necessary routing information for those peers. The buyer can then query each peer on the list and receive details about that peer's offerings. The buyer can choose to execute a sales transaction with a selected peer if that peer's offerings meet with the buyer's approval.

Abstract: User-entered transactions, not yet recorded or processed by a financial institution, transactions generated by the user in other systems such as biller direct websites or presented bills, and transactions received from the financial institution are combined so as to develop and display projected balances at a banking website. Projected balances take into account manually-entered information combined with information for transactions that have already been processed by the financial institution, so as to provide accurate projected balances.
