  • Patent number: 7178705
Abstract: A garment hanger includes a hook defining a web having an upper free end which receives an indicator and laterally displaced engagement elements which engage an indicator. A ridge is provided at the bottom of the web to prevent finger purchase on the lower end of the indicator. In addition, at least lower portions of the sides of the web are also provided with ridges to prevent finger purchase. The indicator includes two parallel and substantially planar sides, a closed top, open ends, and an open bottom. The sides include inwardly extending mating elements which are adapted to engage with the laterally displaced engagement elements on the web. The web and indicator together provide an effective assembly for garment identification, and can be securely coupled together in a manner which is substantially permanent.

  • Patent number: 7124919
Abstract: A garment hanger includes a crossbar member, a hook member coupled to the crossbar member, and three clamp members coupled to the crossbar member. One of the three clamp members is disposed in a central region of the crossbar member. Two of the three clamp members are substantially disposed on opposite ends of the crossbar member. The clamp members are used to engage and support a garment, such as a pair of pants. Together, these elements can be used to reduce the vertical dimension of the garment held by the garment hanger.

  • Publication number: 20060163294
Abstract: A clamp style garment hanger includes a cross-bar, a hook extending up from the center of the cross-bar, a pair of clamp assemblies in spaced apart relationship depending from the cross-bar, and a pair of gripping pads, one for each clamp assembly. The clamp assemblies each include first and second clamping members coupled to and biased towards each other. According to one embodiment, a clamping member has a recess surrounding a throughbore. The gripping pad has a hollow extension and is dimensioned to fit snugly in the recess with its hollow extension extending into the throughbore. An interlocking plug is inserted through the rear of the throughbore into the hollow extension. According to another embodiment, the gripping pad has a stepped recess on one side and the clamping member has an integral interlocking plug that engages the recess.

  • Publication number: 20060035285
Abstract: The present invention provides a new method for identifying modulators of human orexin-2 receptor without utilizing recombinantly produced nucleic acid molecules encoding human orexin receptor protein. This method combines and utilizes known methods and cell lines selected for their natural expression of orexin-2 receptors to carry out the methods of the present invention. Exemplary methods of the present invention utilize PFSK-1 cells to produce non-recombinant human orexin-2 receptor protein.

  • Publication number: 20050068779
Abstract: A lamp assembly for use in a pressure sensitive paint measuring system, such as for measuring pressure on a test air vehicle using pressure sensitive paint, is constructed and configured to provide (1) exceptional cooling for the various optical elements and the housing, (2) a combination of filters that minimizes heat load on the interference filter, yet provides a high beam intensity at the desired wavelength, (3) a mounting structure for the lamp assembly that allows the lamp assembly to be accurately aimed and positioned with little translation of the output aperture, and (4) easy access to the internal components, including the bulb-reflector assembly and optical elements.

  • Publication number: 20050049223
Abstract: A composition comprising a basic drug, a drug which forms a zwitterion, or a salt of either entity, admixed with a polymer selected from hydroxypropylmethylcellulose acetate succinate (HPMCAS), cellulose acetate trimellitate (CAT), cellulose acetate phthalate (CAP), hydroxypropylcellulose acetate phthalate (HPCAP), hydroxypropylmethyl-cellulose acetate phthalate (HPMCAP), and methylcellulose acetate phthalate (MCAP). The compositions having improved solubility, hence bioavailability, in the small intestine; Processes for testing such compositions, and methods of using such compositions. The compositions comprise the basic drug, zwitterion, or salt and one or more of the aforementioned polymers. The invention further relates to a method for increasing the bioavailability of a basic or a zwitterionic drug comprising co-administering the basic drug, the zwitterionic drug, or the salt, with one or more of the aforementioned polymers.

  • Publication number: 20050015227
Abstract: A method, arrangement and computer program is described for generating a database of selectable fresh fuel bundle designs usable in one or more nuclear reactors. In an example, an initial population of candidate fresh fuel bundle designs may be generated and a set of rod-type changes to make to a given candidate in the initial population may be established. A given candidate fresh fuel bundle may be modified by making at least one rod-type change from the set therein. A core loaded with the modified bundle design may be simulated to generate bundle performance outputs. The bundle performance outputs may be ranked based on a plurality of user-input limits. The modified candidate fresh fuel bundle design may be stored, if the bundle performance outputs meet, or are within an accepted margin to, the user-input limits, so as to generate the database.
